I have been to Waterfront Plaza very colorful hotel. 24 hours a day to assist. Wonderful Staff, Excellent Service. Private fitness center, High speed internet access, heated pool and Sauna, Valet parking, chartered boat services, private boat docking facilities. Easy access to San Francisco and all Bay Area. **Excellent Hotel**

A clean, quiet, and very homey hotel in the heart of Oakland's old town. The manger is amazing and bent over backwards to meet the needs of our group. Also, the hotel staff was overly accomodating and helpful. I highly recommend staying at the Washington while in Oakland!

we had a company holiday function last year... in an economy where many holiday parties were canceled, we were glad to be able to treat our employees with something nice.... holiday inn's prices were decent, it's nothing fancy, but it was just right for this economy.

For the price, the hotel was about what we expected but what impressed us the most was the front desk and maintenance staff. On the day we arrived, our air conditioner stopped working after about an hour. We called the desk and they said they would send someone up. We expected that to be anywhere from an hour to the end of the day. Within 3 minutes, there was a knock on the door. The maintenance man came in and though he spoke little English, he explained he would have to replace the entire unit. I thought we would have to change rooms. He was back in 10 minutes with a brand new digital unit. It was up and running in no time and we were thrilled with how quickly everything was addressed. Our room was on the very quiet side of the hotel facing the rear parking lot and a very small street that no one used. This is very nice if you're a light sleeper. If you get a room with a king bed, it will be on the quieter side. We'd definitely stay again, particularly for the price since it had everything we needed. The place is nothing special, but the friendly staff and their prompt response made it extra nice.

-Rooms include microwave and fridge
If your looking for a cost effective place to stay, and dont mind it being a franchise then I reccomend this place to you. The rooms are very clean and look far better then some franchises I haved to with in the past.

If you are looking for a hotel that offers easy access to everywhere in the bay then this is it. We flew in from San Diego on a friday. Stayed here and made it to the city for a party in 20 minutes. After a weekend of family we went to the Raider game and were on a plan by 8pm. The place is kept up and in expensive. close to the airport also.

I stayed here for the CA Bar Exam and was unpleasantly surprised about the disorganized and rude staff. I was told I could check-in early because I requested an early check-in, however each time I tried to checked in, I was told a different time in which I could check in. In the end although the rooms were supposed to be ready at 3pm, I had to wait until 5pm. The reason is b/c they Pre-Assigned rooms to the guests. B/c I was pre-assigned a room, even though tons of other similar rooms had become available during my 5 hr wait, I had to wait until MY specific room was available. I suggest not staying at this hotel for the bar.
Pros: Close to Downtown, Convention Center
Cons: Disorganized, Pre-Assigned Rooms, Not Prepared

The shuttle was slow picking us up. It took them 30 minutes to find our reservation. The maid stole from our suitcase in our room and the hotel would not reimburse us. The area is bad. We had several homeless people ask us for money and saw many of them digging through the trash dumpster in the parking lot. The staff is not very friendly. There is no hot tub or jacuzzi as they advertise on many sites. They charge to take you anywhere other than the airport. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. Not a good value for the money at all.
