If you thought that humus was a condiment, or a snack, or a dip, beware - it can be, in fact, a meal. Yes, at Hummus Place, a reasonably new establishment in the heart of Saint Marx and alphabet city, you can be served a dinner of hummus. If you order hummus (which is likely since that is all that's on the menu) you'll receive a teeny plate of pickles and a serving size bowl of hummus with a side of pita. It's good, but man...you can't eat too much of that. I recommend bringing a friend!
