Have been to Angus Barn many times. Ask for what you want. Think of menu as starting point. Have had custom orders all the time. For Special occasions ask for Table in celler. Went there on 20th anniversary. Six to Seven course meal with wine for every course. Able to talk to chef as he prepared our meal. My wife loved the tips. $100 per person. Worth every penny. Great steaks and seafood. Have eaten at all the big name restaurants in North America and some in South America. Still in top 5. On a regular meal night can call, get in and out in 1 hour. Better than any outback waiting line. Have 2 great steaks and sides for $90.00 with leftovers for breakfast. I can't get out of other resturants in town for under $70. $20 to be a human - priceless!!! Service is best. Anybody will stop and get your drinks or fix any issue. Week nights busy with Business clients, try Sunday night. Have great buffets at holidays.
Pros: Service, groups, special rooms for couples
Cons: Busy. Make reservations

My family has been going to Michael Deans for years. We go for birthday's, buy gift cards for Christmas, it's always been a consistant and nice place to go for a good dinner.
They have wonderful seafood and salad. I usually get a salad (they are huge) and nice glass of wine. If I go for an entre', I like the fish with garlic mashed potatoes as a side.
The Key Lime Pie is awesome, as are their chocolate desserts but it was the bread pudding that surprised me the most. That name "bread pudding" never sounded very appealing to me, but when my friend ordered it, I ended up eating half! It was so good!
I noticed another review where they didn't like the meal and were given a chance to try it again. Really, if you have any issues, let the management know as they are very concerned for their customers and want people to enjoy their meals.
I highly recommend Michael Deans. I can't wait to try the brunch some weekend!
Pros: Seafood & Breadpudding
Cons: None

I have been to Restorante Cinelli on SixForks several times with friends, and I sincerely wish that they had delivery service. The pasta dishes and entrees are absolutely delicious, with a wonderful sauce that lingers on your tongue long after you've eaten them. The specials selection is HUGE, and like nothing I've seen anywhere else, and the service is warm, friendly and helpful. There are beautiful desserts to choose from, and the waitors will be glad to bring over the day's selection for you to choose from (it can be a hard choice!) The general atmosphere is charming, comfortable and clean. No one is hovering over you to leave, and there is no "attitude". It's a wonderful place not only for singles, or couples, but a real "family" place to come to as well. They make you feel at home, with Italian music playing in the background. The price points are reasonable, and don't forget to ask Glen for new or rare wines. I'd recommend Cinelli's to anyone who appreciates good Italian food right in the heart of Raleigh. Mangia bene!
Pros: Great food, right in Raleigh - perfect atmosphere
Cons: none!

Royal India has the best Indian cuisine that I have seen in the Raleigh area. I really love going during the lunch buffet, or the buffet that they serve on Sunday nights, so I can have the opportunity to sample different entrees that I wouldn't have ordered otherwise. One word of caution - medium spicy is HOT! If you are not looking for too spicy definitely order your meals off the menu as mild.

I started frequenting Hi5 last year after I was told all of their food on the menu was $5. Not only is it actually pretty tasty, but it turns out that it?s a great little underground sports bar too. All of the booths have miniature flat screen TVs, a serious plus during football, hockey and basketball seasons.
Pros: food price & tvs

I wish I could give more than five stars to Quail Ridge Books. It's a fine store, offering splendid service (personalized, especially when you're hunting for something not easy to find) and a very wide selection of books. But it's more than a store; it has become a center for our community, and often builds community through programs that go beyond the expected author visits. Panels and symposiums on important topics of the day feature knowledgeable community leaders. The staff welcomes you each time you enter as if you're a long-lost relative! I take out-of-town visitors to Quail Ridge the way I would take them to the NC Museum of Art or to Umstead Park; it's one of the finest features of our region. Quail Ridge is one of Raleigh's most valuable treasures!

After two frustrating years trying to get an estimate from our previous, well-recommended landscaper, we searched on CitySearch and found Rick. From the first meeting, we felt that he would provide us with simple but nice landscaping, and do a professional job at a reasonable price. He used our previous landscape design to plan a new, much simpler approach, and then built two low stone walls and planted some bushes and small trees. Throughout he has been helpful, informative, and reliable. He did the work personally, including building our stone walls, and his crew were always professional and polite. He has also been knowledgeable about deer resistant plants. We are getting lots of compliments from our neighbors, and we would recommend Rick to anyone.

What a great museum to spend the day, with our grandchildren, 8 and 11. All of the exhibits are done exceptionally well and keep all of us entertained, from the snakes to the dinosaurs! They even have a hands on laboratory. Also, check the schedule for different live talks given throughout the day for they are very interesting and educational, and a good time to sit for a while and rest your feet!
