The Academy Tavern is famous for its Academy Burger, which is good but is pretty much a run-of-the-mill bacon cheeseburger. The rest of the food is hit-or-miss in my experience. It’s always packed, so a lot of people like the food, but I’ve never been that thrilled with it. Plus it’s smoky, and the service ranges from slow to interminable. Get carryout if you’re in a hurry.
