It's a smaller, so sometimes it can get a little crowded, they don't take reservations though. Try the cold soba or udon dishes, mix the soy with a little wasabi and eat the cold soba during hot days in the summer, it will cool you down.
The tofu appetizer is pretty good too.

This is the other Japanese supermarket other than Mitsuwa. They seem to have done quiet well in spite of a bigger supermarket that opened down the street from them.
They carry most Japanese items and lots of fish for sushi. Prices are sometimes cheaper than Mitsuwa, service is a little better as well.
They have a niche in the Organic market as well, so if you have looking for organic veggies this is your place.
They send out a pamplet every week, so sign up for this when you are there, then you get to see all the things that go on special the following week.

Their regular menu is good as well, although we usually go there for the breakfast. They have most of the Taiwanese breakfast items and the prices are decent.
The place may be a little hard to find, but it's basically next to the Holiday Inn hotel on MiraMar road.
The atmosphere is very nicely decorated, making this place a good place for regular lunch and dinner as well.

They have regular hand rolls too, although we tend to go for the rgular sushi rolls.
Prices are medium, the quality is better than the buffett places, but not as good as the high end sushi place.

This is a predominantly Japanese travel agency, so all of the agents speak Japanese fluently. They also book a lot of flights to Japan, so they have up to date flight specials from US to Japan.
Interestingly, it is usually cheaper to book a flight here that originates from Japan to the US and back versus booking a ticket in Japan.
They also carry tickets for events in Japan, so it you are looking for bullet train passes, or tickets to visit the Jibuli museum (Totoro, etc..)

Probably eveyone has heard of Ikea, they carry good pieces, compact, easy to install and build, at a good price.
These are starter sets though, and IKEA furniture tend to have a style that is eaily recognizable in a house.
You cannot beat the price, the quality is ok, but I have had some borken pieces after a couple years of usage. Good furniture for the college student, someone just starting out, and new homes (In my case all my $$ went into buying the house!) Just don't expect to pass these furniture to your kids...
If you have not been there, it's definitely worth a trip. If you like the style, but want more quality and a little bit more contempory and stylish setting, check out plummers furniture. (I rated them too.)

This store carries good contemporary style furniture at a good price. While it is more expensive than IKEA, the furniture here reflects much better quality than store such as IKEA. Most of the furniture here are european inspired, and there are some pretty interesting designs.
Overall, the furniture is not too "stuffy" and not too modern, it's a good balance of both. Prices are mid-range, and may tend towards the expensive side, depending on your view point, but the quality is much better, and the design does not go out of style.

The food is good and authentic, although a bit on the high end of things. Dim Sum during the day is great, unlike other places, you order dim sum from a menu of photos, which dramatically speeds up the process. You don't have to wait for the cart to show up either, often times at other places the cart with the food that I like never comes around and I had to go and hunt for it. This also speeds up the process for the lunch time crowd, so I don't spend 2 hours eating dim sum.

Had my skis done here for a couple of years, they usually do a very good job. They carry a supply of ski and snowboard equipment ,but often at inflated prices. Although since this is a ski shop, they usually have better advice than the ski palce at Sports Chalet or general ski shops.
The service has always been excellent, the two flights of stairs is kind of tough though..

It's actually open by a Japanese chef, but the cakes here are great! My wife especially likes the chestnut flavor one. I just like them all. It is a little bit pricey per cake as compare to some other places, but you pay for the quality of the desserts. I hear that they make wedding and birthday cakes too, but they tend to be a lot more pricey.
