Haywood's Hair Images

The salon really needs a lot of work, but the stylists are good at their craft. I've been going to Haywood's since 2005, and Marsha Johnson is the best! When I first started going I had a short cut style, but decided to let my hair grow out. Marsha has always provided great hair care. My hair is now way past my shoulders and it is very healthly. I call her the miracle worker, because some folks walk in there looking like a hot mess. But when she's done working her magic on their hair, they look awesome! I've always gotten great service. I highly recommend Marsha Johnson. more

Yes the building is not in good shape neither is the layout of the salon, but the service is great!!!! I normally get a wash and press which is very hard t find down here in virginia especially for a gurl with natural hair. But I do have to admitt Rose one of the stylist did an excellent job!!! I was a bit skeptical at first because she cut my hair without my preference, which i hate!! But my hair really did look good and actually lasted in this virginia humidity. I enjoyed their baber as well and the after you get over the fact that the building looks a mess it becomes a lot more welcoming. The workers are extremly nice and pleasent and in my opinon I have been around to a lot of hair salons searching for that right salon to press natural hair in my opinion they definitly have the number 1 spot to me!!! But hay go see for yourself this is just one person's opinion. more

The building is in extremely poor condition from inside and outside. The layout of the salon is also very poorly done. The interior is dirty and falling to pieces. There is not just zero, but negative ambience. If anybody is looking for a salon that is aesthetically pleasing this is not the place to go. However, it seems that 2 of the stylists know what they are doing. I went to one who is okay but always thinks she knows my hair better than me. She does a good job but her arrogance aggravates me. She finally pushed me off on a new person. Needless to say, coupled with the horrible building, I have found someplace else to go. However, depending on who you go to and if you don't care about the environment, it can be an okay salon. more
