I come here often and if I'm not eating off the happy hour menu, I am eating the Chad's Chicken. It's oh so delicious. The beer selection here is awesome... my favorite is the Golden Ale. I always sit at the bar but they have outside seating on the roof, great for the summer.
It's always fast and friendly here :)
Pros: Great Friendly Service
Cons: Parking

My boyfriend and I are fans of Bridgeport and have been for some time. This summer we took my father there when he was in town, and he made us promise we'd take him every time he visits. This past weekend there was a convention in town, and I was saddled with the task of finding places to eat every night for random, large, assorted groups of people, with varying tastes, ages, preferences, you name it. The first night we had 11 people, with everyone from a vegan to a picky eater to a meat lover, all beer fiends. We were sat very quickly for what I thought was a busy place, and the good times began. Every plate was cleaned, we had ordered everything from pizzas to vegan dishes to chili, pork sandwiched, different beers, we really must have had one of everything on the menu. (Yes, the menu is limited, however, EVERYTHING on it is delicious!) After hours of sitting around, having fun, enjoying our meals, we left very satisfied with the whole event. I think it's amazing that you could find a place where 11 totally different business people could ALL enjoy a meal. (So much for "can't please all the people"!!!)
Later in the weekend, as the town was mobbed for St. Patty's and we couldn't find a spot anywhere downtown with less than a 2 hour wait for 7 people, someone ventured, "Let's go back to Bridgeport!" No one from the first night out complained, we all hopped in cars, and drove up there. We found seats in the bar, ordered our beer and pretzels, and the amazing waiter grabbed a cookie for the diabetic in our group, and before the pretzels could arrive our table was ready. Seriously. We once again practically tried everything on the menu, and between seeing a grown man with bbq sauce on his ear from the giant ribs, and seeing another man literally eat the mustard sauce from the pretzels with a spoon, I have to say, it went over AGAIN as being an amazing mean. 18 mouths in one weekend, ALL satisfied. Three cheers (and then some) for Bridgeport!
Pros: the food, the beer, handling our large group
Cons: a bit noisy, but hey, it's a bar

My favorite little homeslice (who is almost three) is quite possibly the best/worst food critic I know. She is picky, has an attention span of about 4 seconds and can wait for maybe twice that amount of time. Dingos is, quite possibly, her favorite food spot -- to the extent that she asks (at 8am) if we can go there for breakfast at least once a week. Someone always takes the time to take her order from her -- as tricky as that can sometimes be -- and will double check with her on everything that is going into her food (the kid knows what she likes). Any other place we have gone to wait staff has talked completely over her head as if she is not there -- not the case with Dingos! And to top it all off, I get to eat food that I really enjoy as well (Dingos Quesadilla? Yes please!), and for nights when the little one is not with me, the bartender always knows how to treat me right.. :) The Pink Drink is definately a must have. Definately tops in my book if both myself and the kiddo can eat food we like in an atmosphere that caters to the both of us.
And as a side note: Yes, its a bummer that you have to pay for chips and salsa but if my (almost) three year old can go through 2 full baskets of them then I'm sure you (adults) can eat about the same. Given the amount of free chips I have had at Dingos over the last year and some months, its really not that big of a deal to pay for them when I want them now.
Pros: child friendly, good looking employees, DINGOS QUESADILLA!!
Cons: nada

So we were walking around NW 23rd this Saturday and were so excited to find that the NW Laurelwood now serves breakfast! This neighborhood needs more breakfast places anyhow and this pub is one of our favorites. The menu is split, half breakfast and half lunch type items. I had the surf and turf benedict, a suspicious sounding combo but with candied bacon and Alaskan salmon-- yummo! Breakfast is on on Sat. and Sun. until 3 so get it when you can!
Pros: Beer, cocktails, food, neighborhood, BREAKFAST
Cons: Bad parents=unruly children

wow - the pearl specialty market is amazing and i especially like their special events - it's not very often a liquor store goes out of their way to educate the community about various specialty wines and/or foods, and have events and giveaways so regularly. the service is amazing and the selection is great from a cheap night with the guys to a high-end, classy night with the girls. this is my new spot for anything and everything. i also LOVE the cooling machine for those quickie nights where guests are coming and i need to cool a wine bottle fast ! check it out, ask them questions because they know their booze and enjoy!
Pros: good selection, great service, convenient cooling machine

This place is great! I mean really, really great. Its mellow and easy. The bartender/owner Beth was helpful - and sarcastic and witty (LOVE!). Bottles are at least a few bucks cheaper than other wine shops in pdx. And the glasses are cheap - I think they range from $5 - $12. Where else can you drink good wine in Portland for that price? Every Day Wine is gonna get me through this recession, I can tell.
Pros: delicious wine, fits my budget, awesome bartender
