Teri is by far the most incredible hairstylist and extension artist ever! I came in to her exhausted with trying to find a stylist. I had ventured to other supposed ""top salons"" in the area, and spent a lot of money trying to get my blond right. All the other salons fried my hair and turned it brassy. Teri however, transformed my hair into a gorgeous blond and returned it back to health again, after just one visit. She knows hair! She then put the extensions in, and I now look like a completely different women! Complete Makeover! I am so ecstatic, and will always be a loyal client of hers! The salon was welcoming and warm as well! I'm excited to try one of the amazing facials and body wrap they offer too! WOW! what a find with Amore and Teri! more

I came to Teri SO freaked to let anyone touch my fragile, fried bleached blonde hair. Despite going to the best salons in Portland, and paying top prices, I was in need of a color correction! I could not find someone to make me a pretty blonde AND not break my hair off. Teri was extremely kind, warm and very generous with her time. She is helping me transform my hair to a more uniform blonde. Instead of fearing my next appt, I am actually looking forward to seeing her again. I am a VERY VERY loyal client of Teri Schudel and Amore. Ive been seeing her and frequenting Amore for years now. I was highly appalled when I read the review below me, that I felt like I should let citysearch readers know that what ""KATHY"" wrote was a very highly offensive attack on the salon and staff that I have grown to love. I will not stand for the public to think that Amore and the staff is anything but AMAZING, the salon is always in utmost beautiful condition and sparking clean. The services are always top notch and reasonable priced. If there was anything wrong at all, I think this KATHY woman should have addressed it with the owner and not attacked Teri who is advertising her extensions. There is absolutely no reason to write such a disturbing review when it is completelyl fictitious. All the misspelled words are reason enough to see that ""KATHY"" is completely an uneducated, unhappy, rude person. Pros: Caring Staff! Cons: No drawbacks at all! more

I had the best experience at Amore ever! Amore is such a wonderful place to get all my services done. Kim was fabulous with the pedicure. WOW. My feet were tingling for hours. Teri did such a fabulous job with my hair. Found my salon forever! Im not sure what that Kathy A was talking about, but someone pissed in her cheerios that day! The staff was welcoming, the salon is gorgeous, and the front desk man was fabulous! People like the previous reviewer should be banned from Citysearch. Just unhappy people wanting to bitch! I had THE worst haircut of my adult life a few months ago from another well rated salon - for the first time in more than a decade I had bangs added to my style, and they were AWFUL. After a desperate search for a solution, I thought just maybe there was a way to add extensions to my brutal bangs. I found Teri through Citysearch and called right away, because I was pretty sure I couldn't give a professional presentation with a baseball cap on. Anyway, she fit me right into her schedule and put extensions in fix my bangs. The next time I came in, she adjusted the cut and added some highlights. My hair says it all. I was planning on going back to dark because after 4 different stylists, not one of them could get my blonde right. Teri talked me out of it, because she said she could get it right. I let her do it, and I have NEVER had such a gorgeous color in my life. I had hair that was not even below my chin. the top layer was only three inches. I was distraught because I had gotten a bleach job by another stylist that had broken my hair off all over. I decided to research options and found Teri. Being so scared to trust a stylist again, I decided to try the extensions, and put my trust in Teri. I am so thankful I did. I was in tears when I left. I have traveled all over America. In my travels, I have had hair extensions from every part of the country. I have had every type of extension available. I have been pleased with some, not so pleased with others and some well, I just wont mention at all. After 2 other consultations with other salons in portland, I came to Teri for my consult and felt that she was highly knowledgable, so we went ahead and booked the appointment. I just have to say that Great Lengths and Teri will have me flying back to Portland every time I need a new set put in. I have had hair extensions in the past from another place here in town. When I went searching for a better system, I found Teri. She used Great Lengths hair, wich is the most beautiful, amazing hair I have ever felt. I had bald spots on my head from the old set being so big heavy and hard on my natural hair. I was unsure if she could even help me. She assured me that she could so I took the chance. I will have to say the final result was incredible. I can't even tell Im wearing extensions, and neither can anyone who knows me. The best part is that I don't have ""maintenance"" on these like I did with the last system. Don't be fooled by a lower price! They actually cost me MORE than the great lengths system, looked horrible, ruined my hair, shed and required maintenence. With the Teri's system, she put them in and took them out after 6 months without any damage. I actually have new hair growing back and Im on my way to my hair being healthy again. I got a bad hair cut from a salon and had to cut off a foot of my long hair to make the cut look normal again. I was so distraught and in tears. I got extensions because I couldn't stand my hair. I cannot tell the difference from my real hair and the extensions. You seriously can't tell I have them. They are extremely un-noticible and comfortable. I can love my hair again. more
