The chef from Panzano, Jennifer J, has opened her own restaurant in Larimer Square. The decor is beautiful - exposed brick, solid warm colors. The server brought by a basket of many delicious breads to start. The open kitchen was appealing as well. They do take reservations which I recommend as the restaurant is very popular on weekends, especially.

The Vineyard is located in a small storefront in Cherry Creek North - if you blink, you might miss the store. While they do not have a huge selection, this is the place to go for French wine of all price ranges. The staff is very knowledgeable, and I would also recommend their wine-of-the-month clubs.

The Argonaut in Capitol Hill is crowded at any time of day or night with all types of people. They have a wide selection of wine at reasonable prices, and I have always found the staff to be helpful. Parking can be kind of a hassle - they do have a parking lot but it's usually full..

This liquor store is located near the DU campus, and really caters to the college crowd. You can find college staples of beer, vodka and tequila but any other liquor might be hard to come by. The staff is not that knowledgeable about wine, so do not bother asking. On the plus side, it is right by Safeway grocery store so you can do two errands at once.

Are you still searching for the neighborhood cafe perfect for studying, catching up with an old friend or listening to live music? Look no further than Stella's Coffee House on Old South Pearl. The coffee is strong, the pastries are good and the environment is inviting. Pull a book of the shelf, or plug your laptop in and finish an essay. You will find a variety of people at Stella's, ranging from DU students pretending to study to businessmen grabbing a cup of joe after their lunch meeting at Sushi Den across the street. On Friday and Saturday nights, Stella's features live music by local bands. Relax inside listening to the music or outside on the large porch while enjoying the beautiful Colorado weather.

This coffeeshop has changed ownership a few times, so it can be a bit confusing to keep track of their hours. I believe they are now only open until 2 p.m. for the breakfast and lunch crowd. The coffeeshop features comfortable couches and vintage posters, and the breakfast selection is above average.

This is a great place to stop after work when you need a cold beer and a quick meal. Another reviewer mentioned the long wait, but if you don't mind sitting in the bar area, that won't be a problem.
The portions are huge, and the waiters are always very attentive. This is one of my favorite spots for Mexican food.

More
The Washington Park Grille is a convenient neighborhood restaurant with a friendly atmosphere, delicious food and good drinks. It's a good place to meet up with friends after work or go for dinner when you don't feel like cooking. The happy hour deals of half price appetizers and cheaper drinks ($2 microbrew beers and glasses of their decent house wine). Try the Washington Park sampler with bruschetta, crab cake, calamari, tomatoes and mozerella cheese or the spinach, brie and artichoke dip. Enjoy the food, sip on wine and catch up with friends and family in this nice neighborhood spot.
