My friend and I were visiting Denver this past weekend and the concierge at our hotel recommened this wonderful restaurant. Chef Jennifer Jasinski is fabulous. We are from Houston and we thought we had good food in Houston, but nothing compares to the experience we had at Rioja. We had lunch there on Friday and we were back for Brunch on Sunday. Our waitress Shannon Austin was wonderful and really took care of us. Will we be back?? You bet!! We will fly to Denver just to eat at Rioja!!! Also, check out their other place Bistro Vendome...we ate there on Saturday for brunch. Both places created the best dining experience we have ever had.
Pros: Service, Food, Atmosphere
Cons: Non

My experience with My Big Fat Greek Café was breakfast; I don’t recall if they serve other foods, but I do remember that they have an excellent breakfast menu. A Greek taste makes for a nice twist on your ordinary breakfast foods! The time I was there, the service was somewhat slow, but that seemed unusual; the waitress was very apologetic, and made up for it by discounting our meal.

Originally from Atlanta, my wife and I enjoyed good Greek food there, and we missed having the same quality restaurants here in Denver. At least until we found Yanni's. This is not Americanized Greek food, but good traditional cuisine. The eating environment is not plush, but fine surroundings don't mean good food for the money.
From the time you arrive, especially if you have been there several times, the staff makes you feel like part of the family. The service is very good and prompt, and the food outstanding. My wife and I particularly like sitting out front at one of the sidewalk tables people watching. They have an outdoor grill for cooking lamb, so these dishes are as fresh as possible.
Neither my wife nor I are big fans of ouzo, but when you sit down at your table, you are offered a free sample. Who knows, over time, we might even develop a liking for this drink.
We think the specials are a bit over priced, but the normal menu meals are fairly priced for what you get. Stick to these and you can't go wrong. For the other commentor, good drinks cost a lot, anywhere you go.
The atmosphere at Yanni's is one of the best in town. Unlike most restaurants, my wife and I can talk to each other during dinner. We love kids, just not crying, screaming and running around during dinner. There's no loud music either. Just being able to talk over dinner is wonderful.
My wife and I now drive up from south of Denver to have dinner at Yanni's at least once a month. It's an opportunity to enjoy an excellent meal in a great setting with fine people. Something that is very rare these days.
If you enjoy good Greek food, we highly recommend Yanni's.
Pros: Excellent food, great atmosphere, quality staff and service, ample parking
Cons: Specials are a bit over priced

I am a Charlie Browns lover. It is my favorite place in Denver to go and chill after work, grab dinner on a Friday night, or have Sunday breakfast (Mexican skillet is the best!) I like all the staff, food, drinks, ambiance, everything. The happy hour with free snacks on Friday is a nice bonus as well. If you want a spot to hang out and just kick back this is the place.
Pros: Food, drinks, happy hour, breakfast on the weekends
Cons: None

Zorba's is the perfect neighborhood diner. Perfect for a morning business meeting, a date lunch with the wife, or dinner with the kids. The menu is varied, with something for everyone. The dinner entrees are surprisingly good, especially the greek specialties. My personal favorite is the lamb chops. Service varies from good to a bit of attitude, but is never a distraction. They have a small wine list, and an acceptable liquor cabinet - dinner with the kids always goes better with a margarita. Great value for money.
Pros: Great meal anytime
Cons: Bring your own coffee

Great Greek food. Terrific servic and good value makes Monaco Inn a great find. From the flair and toasty goodness of the saganaki to the crispy sweetness of the baklava the dishes do not fail to deliver. Soulvaki is well done as is the gyro, have not found a miss yet. They also serve American and Mexican but that will be for another trip, if I can get past the 1st part of the menu which is the Greek.
Pros: Food, Service, Price - parking
Cons: outside appearance is deceiving

The people are very friendly, the food is great and the prices are low. I'm a big fan of eating breakfast out and this place has a huge selection with large portions. I'm always ready to go to Rosemary's.

Lookin Good serves great food to a largely geriatric and proletarian clientele. Located scant blocks from Notre Dame church on Sheridan, it's a favorite with the apres-Mass and pre-Broncogame crowd.
I haven't had anything there that I didn't like. Only once did I ever get served by someone who was less than friendly and attentive, and she didn't last a week. On the other hand, the place seems to attract a loyal waitstaff and regular clientele for whom "go to work" and "go out to eat" mean Lookin' Good.
And who wouldn't frequent a place with a variety of American, Greek and Mexican dishes, as well as an attached bar and lounge. The food is great, the portions plentiful, and the atmosphere a kitschy blend of Greek souvenirs with a preponderance of Elvis memorabilia.
A great family restaurent, great for the "sandwich generation" that's on the hunt for a place to satisfy young and old alike. Not a place to take a date, unless you've been married to them for a few years.
Breakfast is done right! Great hash browns (crispy), eggs done to perfection. For lunch I recommend the fajita burrito or patty melt. And for dinner, their lamb is just like mom used to make (if your mom was Greek, like Angie, the mom who owns the place).
If you're looking for meticulously prepared delicacies, a wine list, and a romantic ambience, Lookin' Good is not for you. But if you're looking for consistently good food, with consistently great service, for a very reasonable price. Lookin' Good is the place to go, especially if you want to take the family out, not miss a minute of the Bronco's game, and walk out satisfied and feeling that life is good, even if the Broncos lost.
Pros: Great food, great and loyal waitstaff, reasonable prices, regular clientele, kitsch factor.
Cons: No wine list, no ambience, no signature dish per se.
