Awesome Bilingual School!! 5/19/2011

I am so happy to have found Jardin de Ninos. My daughter had never been in a preschool or daycare setting before we decided to place her in this school and she has exceld tremendouslly in just the six months or so that she has attended. Her Spanish and social skills have increased in ways that would not have been possible without this school. She looks forward to coming to school everyday and talks about her teachers as friends. I have been impressed by all of the teachers in which my daughter comes into contact. The past few months there have been several improvements because they are working on being NAEYC accredited. I never realized until now how important it is to have my daughter in a school accredited by NAEYC until now, but I support any changes the school makes in order to do so. --Submitted by a parent more

Amazing! Great Education!!! 5/4/2011

I have 2 great kids at this learning center. My youngest, now 4 is completely fluent in Spanish and English thanks to some loving and great Pre-K teachers. My son started 1st grade here, and within a couple of months, he had already surpassed AISD 1st grade material. Now close to the end of the year, he is doing 3rd grade math, building mock roller coasters, learning about kinetic energy, friction, etc. 3rd grade science. His history and social studies are great. Oh ya, did I mention he can do this in both Spanish and English. It is a truly bi-lingual school. He is getting the head start only wish I had. The teachers surpass the AISD standards then let their minds grow as individuals, not standardized. There is no other way to say it but simply Thank you to all of the teachers and educators involved for all of your care and effort and love toward my kidos. more

Not the best 8/28/2010

The Director's credentials are not the best. She tries to portray herself as a very educated person, but coming from the same country she is from, we know how things are and the school she graduated from, as well as the teachers she is bringing from Mexico, are NOT great schools. In addition, the Director's father held a political charge in Mexico as some of you might know, titles can be bought in Mexico with the right amount of money and good connections. I do not think the School is doing its best in reinforcing what they should be teaching the students. They go away by saying that since they do not receive public funding, they do not have to abide by the AISD rules and regulations. I want the students to learn Science, Math, Social Studies, yes in Spanish, but I want them to be competitive in the other subjects, not only be able to speak Spanish. more

Wonderful place 12/11/2009

Our daughter has been attending since she was 4 months old. I love the this school. It is a family, my child is not a number in a large corporate run facility. My daughter is so advanced for her age, she learns new things everyday. I recommend this school. more

Diappointed 11/15/2009

Our child has been attending Jardin for over a year now. I have been pleased at the day care thus far. We as family have questioned the authenticity and the capability of the owner/director. We have felt that if your son is developing well, there is no need to get involved in the extracurricular finance B.S. that requested out of us. Recently, we decided to investigate a competing school that just opened up. Since, our son has been happy there, we had no intentions of moving him in the near future. We were simply gathering information. Lets just say ones true nature came out and our intuition was dead on. The lack of sportsmanship behavior from the director was alarming. Two fold, we are being confirmed with the lack of guidance and direction we feel is required for a any school. To our disapproval, our son was moved into a higher age class room than his actual age. All to be back lashed a few months later. Now that we requested Jardin to send the new school an evaluation of our son. He all of a sudden has developmental issues. The lack of true honest correspondence in behalf of his teachers and the director when questioned about his daily progress indicates the true motivation of the owner. more
