The food is great at this small but lovely restaurant. The duck was delicious, but everyone at the table completely enjoyed their meal.

Romantic and intimate. Sat on back 8/2/2012

Romantic and intimate. Sat on back patio with jazzy live music. Everything tasted so well thought out and homemade. I ordered butternut squash ravioli. Must've been homemade pasta because it was tender but al dente. Best ravioli I ever had! more

Classic Italian 4/19/2012

Reservations are a must for this intimate, old-school Italian spot on SoCo. Get a table in the beer garden if you can, since there's usually a jazz band on the weekends. more

Heated Patio, Live Jazz, Romantic Italian 2/13/2011

This place has the lighting of a Greenich Village Italian hidden Trattoria. The big oak tree in the back covers the whole patio, and the place is dog friendly. The crowd is thirty-something, professional, and attractive. People were dressed up and looked chic.\r \r The portions are not Texas-sized, so you will have room for dessert. We had to ask for bread. The scallops are lucious and the wine list has romatic choices. I had the Pork Tenderloin Saltimbocca served over mashed potatoes with tomatillos. more

Absolutely Outstanding 12/1/2010

I've dined there before and had a pleasant experience. Despite a previous poster's objections, I find the noisy patrons refreshing. It reminds me of an upscale small New York joint. This place goes out of their way to be great hosts. On my wifes birthday our party of 15 was mistreated and forgotton at a nearby restaurant. I called on a whim and Botticellis made room for us immediately out back and saved my wifes birthday. I couldn't thank them enough. Those actions really count. Thank you guys! more

Fun Beer Garden, Delicious Pasta and Italian Wine 9/18/2009

As you step in the door, you notice this place is a little classier than most of the other restaurants on South Congress. The small, intimate space makes you ready for a dining experience. \r \r We started with the Porcini Crusted Sea Scallops which were amazing! You will want to savor every bite. We also paired some of their delicious Italian red wine with the Mushroom Pansotti. The bread and olive oil is so good that you'll want to clean the plate.\r \r Plus, they have a great beer garden with happy hour specials and music for casual nights in SoCo.\r \r Pros: Every bite makes you smile Cons: You pay for what you get! more

Fun Fine Dining on South Congress 9/17/2009

Botticelli's is the closest thing you'll find to a fine dining experience in a quaint setting on South Congress. Excellent food, great wine, and a more upscale (but still welcoming) clientele can be expected at this Italian Restaurant. We tried the Scallops for an appetizer-- they were great. Served with sliced apples and creme fresh, they were a tasty way to start the meal. The mushroom pansotti and butternut squash ravioli were both GREAT. Also, the serving sizes are just right-- not too big to overly stuff you, but enough for a good meal. Botticelli's is the perfect spot if looking for a fine meal at a reasonable cost on South Congress. Pros: Excellent Food - Reasonable Cost Cons: .. ? more

Definitely will go back... 5/21/2009

I've had a run of bad luck lately when it comes to dining out but enjoyed dinner here last weekend. It's nice to be able to make a reservation, food was very good, service was also good. Great atmosphere, too. Only challenge is it gets very loud so can be challenging to hear the other people at your table. I'd definitely recommend this place. Pros: Food, cocktails, atmosphere Cons: Noisy more

Decent Food, Terrible Atmosphere 1/6/2009

THE GOOD: Great wine list, eggplant bruschetta was memorable; the squash ravioli was very nice and elegant with simple blended flavors. \r THE BAD: The atmosphere was unbearable. The dining room is very small and crowded, with tables right next to the crowded bar area. We were speaking in near-shouting voices the entire night just to hear each other. My ears were ringing by the time we got out of there! To top this off, there was a lot of traffic passing through the dining area all night to get to the beer garden in back! I liken this to eating fine Italian food at a local sports bar?really not very appealing at all. \r OVERALL: The food and service were memorable, but Botticelli's is not worth it due to the noisy atmosphere and horribly crowded dining experience. Pros: Food Cons: Atmosphere more

Superior service and food 11/30/2008

Obviously in a happening part of Austin. Take your chances finding parking - like in most of Austin. Very nice atmosphere. Noisy people enjoying themselves. Excellent service. Excellent food - our compliments to the Chef(s) and to the wait staff. We will definitely dine here when we return to Austin. Thank you Botticelli's for a lovely evening. Pros: Service, food, very nice facility Cons: Parking more

Best Service, delicious food! 11/23/2008

I hosted a large party here and was so impressed with the food and service. Our waitress was INCREDIBLE! She was so nice and always had a smile on her face. I had never had such a wonderful experience with staff at a restaurant. The food and wine was outstanding! I ordered the butternut squash pasta and fell in love! I am thankful I came upon Botticelli's and look forward to my next dining experience there. more

Carmelo's Prices, Applebee's Atmosphere 9/13/2008

My boyfriend and I just got back from our anniversary dinner at Botticelli's. The food and service were pretty good. The atmosphere, however, was horrible. We were seated in between the spiral staircase by the front door and a table of 8 really loud middle aged women. You know, if you want to clap and snort and yell, maybe you should go to a UT football game - or TGI Friday's. \r \r The place is just incongruous. Reservations, white linen table clothes, $20 pasta, and candles, but then loud patrons in t shirts and a band out back. They either need to lower their prices and make it more casual dining or raise their prices so people know not to be loud and obnoxious during dinner. I really wanted to like this place since I think Austin is pretty low on good Italian food, and the food was pretty good, but it's like mixing Shady Grove with Asti. Not a good combo. Pros: food, service Cons: atmosphere more

Horrid service 8/8/2008

We had dinner for 6 and could not hear a thing. The waiter forgot the appetizer, then brought the salad first and then the appetizers, and then brought the wrong one. Food was not bad but you have to put up with a lot. We would for sure not go back. Way too many places in Austin that have good food and appreciate service Pros: Food good Cons: price, loud, bad service more

Loved it. 7/4/2008

We dined there on 7/3, not realizing it was the first Thursday. It was jam packed, and thank goodness we made a reservation. The people without reservations were told the wait was close to two hours. The wait staff were very nice adn polite.\r \r One of the owners was serving (Matt), and he was very nice to talk to. The scallop appetizer knocked my socks off. It was delicious! The wine was wonderful, and reasonably priced, so ordering a bottle of wine was not too much. We sat inside, but I hear sitting outside is even more awesome, especially when a band is playing. \r \r I will eat here again and again. Pros: Location (So Co), Great Food, Great Owner, Young, Reasonably Priced Cons: Hard to find parking space, Appetizers are so yummy, you get full before the entree more

AMAZING! 6/10/2008

The Botticelli brothers have simply created a masterpiece! If you have not had the opportunity to experience the gracious duo you have been missing out. They are not only talented at making each person feel special, but the food is outstanding! The Botticelli bread, the scallops, the sea bass, the beef, the wine selection....all fabulous! I almost forgot to mention the atmosphere is also great. Sit inside for a romantic dinner or outside for a fun party atmosphere with live music. 2 doors down from the Continental Club on S. Congress (which is where I planned to go next, but was having too good of a time to leave) My party and I had such a great time! Thanks and we will be back! Pros: Service, food, ambiance, value more

Great Place All Around: Great Menu Choices and Great Atmosphere Options 4/29/2008

Was in Austin on business and had dinner here. Great place. Sat out in the Beer Garden with perfect weather. The owner came by and chatted with us for awhile. We were in a big group and sampled all of the appetizers. All agreed that there wasn't a single one we didn't like with the mussels and Botticelli bread being the stand out favorites. Drinks were flowing, dinner was timely, and live music was more than enjoyable without being too loud. Crowd confirmed that the music, food and atmosphere was enoyable as there was aline of people waiting to enjoy an outside table.\r \r It was voted by our group as the best dinner of the week and we sampled numerous Austin favorites. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting or residing in Austin. Pros: Great food. Great atmosphere. Good live music. You won't regret it. Cons: Nothing comes to mind. more

Best food in Austin 4/28/2008

Everything I had was AMAZING. The Bottecelli Bread can not be missed as an appetizer. I had the ribs as my main course which were marvelous. I went on a Thursday night and sat on the back patio, which was so fun and relaxing. There was a live band and people even brought their dogs. If you feel like unwinding a little at the end of a hard week, this is the place to go! more

Great space! Delicious Food and excellent entertainment! 12/26/2007

Stopped by here to catch some great music on the patio decided to try a meal as well. The waitress had a great recommendations for wine to pair with the meal my boyfriend and I picked out. We were both not super hungry so we split an appetizer and the salmon dish. Again the waitress was helpful and split the dish in the kitchen presenting it beautifully on two plates instead of just handing us an extra plate and a knife.\r The salmon was perfectly cooked, wonderfully flaky. The asparagus side was delightfully crisp and delicious. We were so happy with the meal we were fighting over final forkfuls. We definitely plan to return to Boticelli's not only to catch the great artists they have playing there but the excellent food! Pros: Comfortable atmosphere, great music, great service! Cons: Went past it twice before we found it. more

great patio 9/6/2007

did not eat other than apps but remember them being fine but the patio blew me away, a real hidden gem. never had a clue. we met friends for happy hour. cant say too much else Pros: great patio Cons: dont know yet read others more

Really like this place! 8/23/2007

We have only been a few times, but each time we visit Botticelli's, we talk about how much we enjoyed it for days after. Can't say I have been very adventurous with the menu but the capellini with sausage dish is delicious and what I always order. The gnocchi appetizer is yummy! The focaccia is hit-or-miss...sometimes it's cold and hard and other times it's warm and delicious. Guess it just depends on the night! The service has been great with each of our visits. We definitely recommend this place to our friends! Pros: Great food, big back patio, everyone is friendly more
