I asked for a beveled crystal to replace my broken watch crystal (which was also beveled). I called Watch Co. who said they could do it no problem. I brought the watch in and repeated the question. The clerk at that time assured me they could- they called two weeks later saying the watch was ready. I went to pick up the watch and noticed in did not have the original beveled edge to it. They said they would send it back to the repair person. They sent it back saying it had to go to the original Company store for fixing, and that they did not have beveled crystal to replace it.
So I came to the store and asked for a refund at that point because this was not the crystal I wanted. But the clerk said they couldn’t authorize a refund because the manager/owner was not here. I was assured the manager would be in soon that day, and that I would receive a call. I called the following day when I had no callback. The clerk apologized but again said the manager was not in but they would call me. At that point the clerk said I could keep the watch though. I had yet to receive a phone call. I called two days later and finally reached the manager/owner.
As the manager got on the phone, he immediately started yelling and berating me- saying I had been ‘harassing’ his staff. He said I had already received the crystal and I could not receive a refund. I told him that I had not asked for this crystal and was not sure why it had been replaced by another style of crystal without my permission. He said he had never heard of ‘beveled’ crystal before and that I was making this up. He said then that I should have gone to the original company, I politely told him that when I called his clerk had said that the watch could be fixed without problems. He did not want to here any of it and said don’t call back and then actually hung up the phone on me. I could not believe this is the way he treated me and accused me of lying and cheating, I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER AGAIN. ONE OF THE MOST RUDE AND MEAN OWNERS/MANAGERS.
