Ive been going to Sonya for over a year now and I just have to say she does such a great job with my hair ! My hair isn't easy. She really takes her time with me and the color is amazing. Her personality is bubbly and sweet. I also go to Annette for my eyebrow wax and tint which is also great. Lots of great parking. more

I went to Simone for my hair and have never been more satisfied! She did my color and it was the best ever.\r I love the place, everyone makes you feel right at home when you walk in. This is a great place. Perfectly located. Quiet. Great Energy. I have been getting a monthly treatment from Annette for five or six months & she is truly amazing. What could be a very painful experience (waxing) is done quickly, professionally and with great skill. I also use the tanning bed here -- which is always kept clean and stocked with fresh towels, deodorant, etc. I have heard from quite a few people that the massages are amazing here as well. I HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER THE ESTHETICIAN TAMI ONLY OFFERED BE COMFORT WHEN IT CAME TO GETTING WAXED. I HAD NEVER DONE IT BEFORE AND I THOUGHT URBAN OASIS WAS RIGHT BY MY WORK I WAS GOIING ON VACTION AND THOUGHT MY HUSBAND WOULD LOVE A SURPRISE. SO GOING IN I WAS NERVOUS BUT WHEN SHE INTRODUCED HERSELF WITH A WARM SMILE SOMETHING ABOUT HER MADE ME FEEL SAFE. THEN WHEN SHE WAS DONE WITH THE WAXING THIS EXPERIENCE IS GOING SO WELL I ASK IF SHE HAD TIME FOR A FACIAL. WELL LUCKY ME SHE DID ALL I MUST SAY IS THE FACIAL WAS AMAZING THE FACIAL MASSAGE WAS THE BEST I EVER HAD ALL I COULD SAY TO HER AFTER WAS WHAT DID YOU DO AND WHEN CAN I COME BACK. I have been going to Urban Oasis since it was Salon 1520! Even though it has moved locations, its in a ideal location and the spa gets an A+! \r It has always been a great and relaxing experience! I get waxed and only takes about 15 minutes to get a 1-3 body parts waxed. I would also say the least painful in comparison to other places like, ""Wax On"". She is also very sanitary, shes washes her hands before and after each person! \r In the 4 years that I've known Annette, she is probably the most caring and compassionate person I've ever met. My friend got me one of those circle gift certificates for my birthday and we went together. I made an appointment earlier in the week for a pedicure and a waxing. We arrived ten minutes early only to be told that both of our ladies were running late. My friend's hairdresser showed up in fifteen minutes, but 40 minutes later my lady still wasnt there. Not only did no one offer me a drink or ask me if I was ok, but I could hear the workers laughing. Finally the lady at the desk earlier came by and asked me if I wanted to reschedule, but still didnt ask me if I was thirsty or offer to let me know if the lady was even coming. Another 20 minutes later my friend's hair was done. During the time another girl walked in and was waiting for the same woman. Finally the hairdresser called the lady I was supposed to have and found out she just pulled in! She then preceded to let the girl who arrived after me to go first explaining that my appointment would take longer! She suggested my friend and I got eat lunch! I left very upset. We went back after an hour for my appoinment only for me to wait another 15 minutes. My friend went searching for someone because no one was at the front desk, on a saturday. They went to get my lady. I finally got into the room to get my waxing only to be told she couldnt do it because my hair was too fine. I have had many waxings before without a problem. I said fine and then the woman preceded to take another 20 minutes to gather her belongs for my pedicure. Instead of having an actual pedicure station I was given a footbath you can buy at Walmart to put my feet in. I am going to school for massage therapy the footbaths I make myself in spa class are nicer then this. My pedicure then lasted an hour and forty minutes. During which I heard about all the places this lady was fired from and quit, how dirty she thought the spa was, and about her candian friend who got pregnant on a one night stand. I have been going to Urban Oasis for years and highly recomend it to anyone wanting a relaxing day of beauty. It is a ""One Stop"" spa where I can get my waxing needs done by Annette who is professional and efficient. My nails done by Becky who makes my polish last longer than any other manicure and pedicure I have ever had. And, Sonja who does an outstanding job on my hair and listens to what I want in a hairstyle and color and excecutes it perfectly. Also, if you want a great massage book with Shirly you won't be dissapointed. Every time I leave Urban Oasis I feel like a million bucks. Keep up the good work ladies. I live in the neighborhood and find it very convenient to get my haircut there. Over the past year and a half, however, every time I go in, there is someone new...I find this frustrating! I stopped remembering names back in January. If I wanted a random person, I'd head to supercuts. \r \r However, I keep going back and hoping the same gal will be there. So today, I got a great cut from Erika, she was friendly, funny, confident, and capable. I left feeling great about my hair and really hoping she's still there when I go back in a couple of months....I even took note of her name. more

I just went to Urban Oasis for a day of beauty package and what a treat. They were all so friendly and I loved the snacks with champagne. I was having a rough week but I left completely refreshed. I had a facial with Annette and a manicure, pedicure with Thuy, I also got my hair done by Maire. If you are looking for a new place to go this is the place! I took my girlfriend for a girls day at Urban Oasis. I was pleased with the service, and was greeted by very nice ladies. The set up is a house built into a salon/spa which I thought was creative, it is a nice set up. My massage was great, Sheryil is amazing. She was really interested on what you as a client wants and made every effort to make sure you were comfortable which I liked.\r \r My only complaint is that they must be doing some construction or something b/c there was a lot of racket going on above the room. And also, there should be a no children rule. The owner or a guest had a child who made a lot of noise during my massage which was disappointing.If I wanted to hear a kid whine, I would stay at home :) As for the ambiance, it's okay. The massage room was a bit cluttered with stuff. I would go back but I would be hesistant depending on the time of day. If I knew there would be construction going on, I would have rescheduled for another day. Overall my experience was good. I have to say after losing my last hair stylist I was lost but then I stumbled onto this place and I was really nervous to try a new place but as soon as I walked thru the door I was treated like a queen! My appointment was on time and I was offered tea,water etc. Marie did a great job on my highlights and cut , she listened to exactly what I wanted and delivered exactly what I wanted and was just AMAZING, she really is talented! Annette also did my eyebrow waxing and dye and it was the most painless eyebrow wax I've ever had, she also takes the time to make you comfortable and asks questions to make sure you get what you want and there was no redness or swelling after, which I've never experienced before! The atmosphere is wonderful, calming and feels like you really have stepped into a hidden oasis tucked away in the city surrounded by trees. This is the only place for me!! I plan on being pampered here for all my needs and take advantage of all the services offered. The nail specialist did an amazing job and the staff is very friendly. But I must mention , when it has to do with hair, it really depends on a stylist when you go there. Once I went in for a haircut . And ofcourse after you get your hair cut most people would like them styled to see how their new hair style looks. That did not happen in my case. Half-way through the hair cut the stylist (sophie) told me she had to be at a different salon in a half an hour and she would not be able to finish the style. She rashed through the blow-drying part, burning my hair and leaving it half un-done. So i had to go home and finish the job. The haircut was ok, but you be the judge of that incident.......\r HOWEVER,\r I decided to give urban oasis another chance. And had a totaly different experience when I went to see Marie. She spend extra time working on my ""hard to deal with"" hair. The style was just the way I wanted it and even outshined the performance of some of the most featured salons in seattle. I recently got a massage from shirley. She did wonderful things for my neck and shoulders. I was so relaxed I forgot about all the stresses in my life. I walked out of there in a daze and spent the rest of the day in a relaxing dreamland. Go get a massage from shirley! Make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy the euphoric feeling you will have when she is done with you! If you carry a lot of stress in your neck and shoulders like i do, shirley can help! I've been going to Urban Oasis for years, long before they moved to this great little bungalow that really fits it's name, an oasis in the city. The people have always made the place with their friendly and inviting warmth, as well as their knowledge and expertise. All this without pretentiousness and attitude, as well as great prices. Makes one feel very taken care of -- and this was before the move. Now, on top of all those great things, they have this house surrounded by trees that shelter it from the busy Eastlake Ave outside -- giving it that retreat type feel, but it's SO convenient to all neighborhoods in the city because of it's very central location -- yet very affordable in comparison to other salons this close in. \r Taking a few hours or day to spend with them, by yourself or on a day of beauty relaxing with your friends, is the best treat you could give yourself -- it is for me. I have been going to Thuy Pham for over 15 years now. Having lived all over the country and continuing to travel and needing to have my acrylic nails filled by others....Thuy is by far the best ever. Her attention to detail is unparalled. I like my nails to look natural and time and time again people are surprised when they find out that I wear acrylics. I wear them for the strength they provide not for the length. Also, Thuy does fantastic pedicures, manicures and works with other products besides acrylic.\r She is incredibly accommodating and is always trying to make her schedule work around yours when possible. A delightful and very professional person who I have followed when she has relocated to a couple of different salons over the years...and will continue to do so. She is the best ever!\r more

It's so hard to find a good massage therapist. Shirley at Urban Oasis is the best, hands down. She's clearly gifted in massage, finding areas of stress and addressing them with a great style therapeutic and firm massage. This is a great place with awesome services. I keep going back for different things, and I am amazed at the consistency. Everything they do is professional, high quality and relaxing. The message is the best. I had shoulder and back pain for a year and a few visits made me feel 2 inches taller. I got my hair cut, and I was really happy with it. This is a very friendly place, where the entire staff is willing to do what it takes for you to have an enjoyable experience. First time pedicure was relaxing and Teri was meticulous with the polish. Upon entering the salon I was greeted with smiles and offered a variety of beverages. I was even asked if I wanted a tour. There is a deck to enjoy the sun and a beverage while nails dry.
