The Gear Shop formerly known as John's Gear Shop is back in the hands of the original owner, John Wilkinson who operned the shop in 1972. Through honesty, customer satisfaction, and hard work his business and reputation grew to the extent that Truck Parts Specialist bought bought John's Gear Shop from John in 1994. During his break from the truck service business, John became a constable with Harris County Precint 2. On Sept. 1 2008, John found himself without a renewed lease agreement due to Truck Parts Specialist being sold out. John and his son Robert now manage The Gear Shop and pledge to uphold honesty, quality workmanship, customer care. more

This company has lost sight (if they ever really had it) of what it means to provide fair and honest service to customers who will return the favor by frequenting the company -- naturally resulting in recurring business. But rather, they have chosen to embrace a business philosophy of short-sighted avarice that without exception, serves to alienate customers and stifle their ability to expand or grow.\r \r At some point there needs to be a light bulb moment on the part of this company. As it has been said, ?it is sheer insanity to continue to do things in the same manner, yet all the while expecting different results.? \r \r Johns Gear Shop?It?s time to stop the madness.
