Tofu Prepared Several Different Ways 2/26/2006

For those of you who think tofu is boring and bland, think again! Tofu House prepares tofu in a number of different ways. I'd recommend starting with the fried tofu appetizer. The tofu is served in thinly sliced strips that are lightly breaded and fried in canola oil. They're served with a wonderful spicy sauce on the side that's a mixture of cucumbers and spice and tastes very much like something you might get in a Thai restaurant. I'd recommend trying a tofu burger, especially if you're someone that hasn't had tofu often. This is a good introduction. You can get them breaded or grilled, served with portobella mushrooms and lots of other traditional fixings. more

The service wasnt the best. Water is needed so when i go back i bring my own because it is so spicy. Overall this a wonerful restraunt just needs some help with appearence. more

tofu and more 10/6/2005

Do not let this restaurant's name fool you. Tofu House not only serves tofu, it also serves a whole bunch of other things you would expect to eat at a Korean restaurant. The servers are friendly, food arrives promptly. I love tofu and i love Korean food, so I love this place. more

^.~ 10/6/2005

It's really good tofu...but i like their side dishes alot better! The best part, those are refillable too! =) The prices are avg for those tofu bowls: about $8 to $9....a little expensive for something like tofu. I like their service though, they are quick to get you what you need, and they are very friendly. more

soft tofu! 9/26/2005

This place was the first place i ever went for soft tofu, so naturally It's one of my favorites. The side dishes are plentiful and my entree is always made just the way i like it. The people are always nice and helpful and the food never takes too long, either. I obviously have no complaints, so go out there and try it! You will not be disappointed! more

Good if you like korean style tofu 9/22/2005

While you don't have to be a tofu lover and can order other things, it is recommended that you are one as it is the main feature of this place. This place is no different from other similar tofu houses that have popped up around areas, featuring a korean style of cooking tofu. For those who have no idea what it is, basically you choose between various tofus that have toppings ranging from meat to seafood. It comes out boiling small claypot, served in a soup style format. You choose what kind of spiciness you want and it comes with a bowl of rice. Also included in the meal is a couple of small side dishes that are usually some kind of pickled korean dish. They have pickled cucumbers, kimchi, etc. The food comes out fast and it does taste good. I've tried to make it myself, but it didn't taste the same. The one unique thing of this place is that you can sample punches and lemonades for free. for some reason they have this drink machine in the near the door of the restaurant. Staff is friendly too. more

tofu house 8/29/2005

This is the first place i ever ate soft tofu, so naturally i have an great inclination toward loving this place. But, more than that, few tofu places have ever been able to beat the taste of the tofu house. With great appetizers and service, and such delicious food, it's no wonder that the tofu house remains a favorite of mine. If you ask me, this is the place more people should be eating! Hmph! more

Hot tofu house 8/11/2005

Here is the favourite restaurant of many people I know. The small tofu house is almost always busy, but the wait is usually not long. From my favourite seafood special tofu to my boyfriend's favourite short ribs hot stone plate, the food has never failed to satisfy. Great little side dishes come with any entree, as per the Korean tradition. more

Bring on the Tofu 8/11/2005

A so-called "Soybean Soup Specialty Restaurant," Tofu House is a great Korean eatery. The menu offers a wide variety of tofu dishes that are served with rice and various pickled condiments (and kimchee, of course). Add an egg and let it cook in your bubbly tofu. Or try a Korean stone bowl dish– toss in an egg and mix, and the heat from the bowl fuses everything into a soft and gooey spoonful. more

Not bad... 8/4/2005

This is the first Korean restaurant that I've ever been to so I can't really compare them with any other Korean food. I can't recall everything they have on the menu but the one thing that I always eat whenever I go there is basically this bowl of tofu with soups in it along with imitation crabs, shrimps, etc., depending what you want them to put in there. The side dishes are white/brown rice, kim chi, pickles and two other things I forgot what they are called. The soup was boiling hot when they brought out. I thought it was good the first time I tried but after a while, I realized that this is something I could've cooked at home because the soup is just chicken broth and then just put in whatever ingredient you want and voila! more
