Its sad to see such a good location and GREAT stylist closed for business. My understanding is that Lee has relocated out of state, yet I also heard he was still doing hair somewhere else here in the ATX. If someone finds him or knows of a new telephone number to reach him, please post here to let the rest of us know. He was a great stylist,especially with coloring/highlights. I believe a person needs to speak their minds when the moment ask's for it. Not wait a few days, or even a week later to say what's on their minds. Example: I was referred to Lee as a color specialist here on citysearch. After years of coloring my own hair, it started to take a life of its own! I called and made an appointment and was immediately warned that any color correction service done would take awhile BEFORE I went in. So you see, I knew how long it would take, and was well prepared for the long haul. I'm glad that I did because my results were awesome. My hair is ""normal"" now, and I can see what my natural hair color was with natural colored highlights, not bleached blonde! I am happy with my hair, I didn't throw a tantrum for being there for a long period of time, and I'm planning on going back when the time is needed. It was worth it. I love great conversation, off the wall or even serious. Lee isn't just talented with hair & color, he's also a people pleaser as well as a friendly guy who likes to chat. Nothing more, nothing less. I received a certificate from my hubby to receive a variety of services here at this establishment - I was relieved that I was able to get my services done by an experienced staff. I had my hair done with Melissa, as well as my waxing - cute/manageable haircut and great! I had a microderm and chemical peel with Christine - 1st ever, and it was great. I've already scheduled myself for an upcoming nail appt. Pampering is wonderful, especially when you spend your days at home with kids. Its nice to feel important and walk out of a salon feeling confident. Since I was not able to do the massage part of the certificate, they were able to accomodate me with a pedicure on my time. Great! I like that the entire salons services are on different floors. Some people don't like the smell of acrylic while getting their hair done, and who wants a relaxing facial with a hair dryer going on? I don't. Nice salon/spa concept, helpful staff. Thank you. I was out scouting extra's for a video shoot here in Austin and came across a few girls working in Dillards that had the cutest hair! Bold as I am I asked who they're stylist were, and they both recommended me here to this salon. I was a bit thrown by the name of the salon, but not enough for me to NOT call in an appt. Both Rhonda and Lee were recommended. 2 weeks later I booked a last minute appt with Rhonda, and I have no regrets! I have the BEST new hilites for summer with the cutest ""low maintenance"" cut! I went in to get a facial and a massage and the facialist talked me into a chemical peel. BIG MISTAKE! I am in my early 20's and my skin is very healthy and flawless. The facialist was very rough and abrasive on my skin. Then she puts this Glycolic Peel on me and leaves it on for like 5 minutes. My skin was on fire. I just knew it was going to be bad the next day. So i wake up the next day and I had the worst scabbing on my face! The facialist never told me how to care for this horrible exprience or offered me any products that may help. I could definately have some scars. When I got my wax the lady got it in my hair and then couldn't figure out how to get it out and that was a different person all together. more

I purchased a coupon for this salon for a very low price on various services and I am very pleased with the service I received. I've gotten my cut with an upgrade of hilights with Lee several weeks ago and was so pleased with the outcome. I also had a skin consultation with a facial with Kristin and it was a wonderful experience. I still have several other ""free"" services that I need to use and looking forward to doing them. I forgot to post a few months ago when my old stylist moved to this location in december. Lee is still my color specialist/stylist, still creative and always knows his stuff. The entire staff was very attentive and friendly. That's always great too. Good investment on a beautiful salon Lee. I wish you and the entire salon the best in 2006. To others looking for a great stylist - I've been to Lee for a little over a year now and I always walk away happy. The other stylists there seem very experienced also. I heard about Lisa through a friend that had her hair done. I made an Appoinment with her for a color & cut she did such an awesome job and I had so much fun with her and staff they made me feel so comfortable and very much at home. I had my horrific orange & red hair corrected by Lee. I find it hard to believe that other people would complain of the salon's prices and the amount of time it takes for their hair to get done, when in fact you get REALLY good results. My hair took quite a bit of time to process, but the end results were great. I now have beautiful brown with golden highlights, not orangey or red at all. Money well spent. I also had my manicure and pedicure done by Lisa, what a wonderful experience. I even left with free products for my hair until I can come back. A wonderful experience with Lee, my stylist that know's his work. Very professional even with a salon full of people going in and out as well as being very knowledgeable in his color & cuts. My 2nd time around to see Lee (but at a new location) and I always feel like I'm UNDER charged for my hair. I don't think I've ever been to a stylist that spends so much quality time with each of his clients. His patience is amazing, even with all of my questions. I've paid less at other places, and walked out with less. With Lee, you pay a little more, but you get way more than you expected in the first place. I've been to Lee for my color & highlights and Lisa for my cut and I just absolutely love the results. I've been to Lee before at another location, and followed him here. (closer for me too!) I like that the new salon still offers after hours appointments and that they have experienced stylist as well as a friendly staff. Wow! I was so surprised to hear that Lee moved to another location - BUT happy to find out the good news. Lee is not only my hairstylist, he is also the new owner of this establishment. Which to me is fine by me, its on my way home and Lee is the most experienced stylist I've ever been to. So if you're in the nw area of austin, need a stylist, call Lee. He's experienced in what he doe's and accomodates clients like me who like to come in after hours on their way home. Good luck Lee in your new place of business.
