I just want to say I have been going to Upper Hand for awhile now. I always go to Katy to get my hair done. Katy always does a great job and is so sweet and really takes the time to listen to how I want my hair. Katy did an amazing job yesterday and i have gotten so many compliments since. Also I went to Trish to get my nails refilled and she is a MASTER at Nails .. I love my hair and nails..THANK YOU LADIES!!!!!!! You started my weekend off right!!! more

i looking for more than year for good salon for my hair and after that i read the reivews about this salon and about katie fierst she do my hair good and after that i went to do the rest of my hair cous she told me thay didnt do all the hair i pay more than 300 dollars never mind ,but after she done she used toner and it make my hair color like rust so bad so dry so gluy why ?i told hair ddont put toner in the top but she didnt care more

Best hair salon in west Houston area 10/13/2010

I have been a regular client at the Upper Hand in Royal Oaks for over 3 years and am there at least twice a month. They have a very friendly staff and excellent hairstylists. Shiva is my stylist and she is extremely talented with my ""fine"" hair texture and very good with color ideas. My husband is also a regular client of Shiva's and our daughter, who lives in San Diego, visits her when in town. Lisa is very good at waxing and eyebrow shaping, also. We feel at home there and highly recommend the salon. more

Best color, highlights and hair cut 10/7/2010

Jennifer Riding is the best! I'd let her do whatever she wants to my hair as she has an expert eye for color, highlights and cut! I wanted to go blonder and let me tell you I am complimented wherever I go on my hair. She knows her clients, listens to there needs and concerns and works with them to achieve the greatest results. So if you are looking for an awesome stylist see Jennifer. The other stylist at The Upper Hand at Royal Oaks are great as well so you will not be sorry going to this salon for your needs. more

Best Salon in Houston 9/29/2010

I had been looking for a long time to try and find that perfect place to get my hair done, and I have found it! I have been going to the Upper Hand Salon in Royal Oaks for over a year, and I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is relaxed, but with a beautifully sophisticated flair and the customer service is wonderful! I would also like to take time to recommend the stylist, Courtney. She is very attentive to what you ask her for, and she also takes the time and effort to go through styling options if you need them! The first time I went to see her was after a horrible highlights job that a previous salon had done, and she fixed it up beautifully! Each time I go in she tells me what colors and styles are in and what would look best. I was sold then, and I have not been disappointed once since. more

Bast Hair Salon in Houston 8/15/2010

To say I love the Upper Hand Salon in Royal Oaks would be an understatement. I have been going there for over a year. The customer service is amazing. Everyone in the salon is so friendly and helpful. When going to get your hair cut and colored there I highly recommend Nancy. She is a genius . She never has disappointed me. I have gotten my haircut and colored at some of the other top salons in Houston and no one has ever compared to her. When I fist went to see her I had a dull hair color and bad cut and my hair now looks totally different. I have never left there disappointed. more

This is the first time I have been to The Upper Hand, and I scheduled with Jennifer Ridings. She gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and how I described to her! I went to work and described her as Edward Scissor Hands... (LOL) I have recommended all of my co-workers and friends to her. She is a sweet girl with a great personality! I've been coming to The Upper Hand at Royal Oaks off and on for many years. Occasionally I've tried other places but I always come back. The stylists really work to make sure that you like your haircut and color and they do what you ask - there are no unpleasant surprises. I trust Sherry, Shiva and the other stylists completely. I went to Upper Hand for the first time...and for the first time in 5 years seeing all different kinds of hairstylists - I walked out so happy. Katie did an incredible job and really listened to what I wanted - and then delivered. I would go there again in a heartbeat!!! Pros: Great products more
