Best

Great guest rooms but little bit hard to get around since it's so big and multiple elevators. If you stay in the VIP rooms, you get free snacks and drinks. Great views, service ...

Worst

I haven't stayed there myself, but whenever i visited Las Vegas, I liked going there for a few hours. But this is what my co-worker had to say about Venetian. **************** ...

Not at all what I expected. 12/9/2010

You would expect that a suite in supposedly 5 star hotel would have at least a clean room with matching furniture. Well the room looked like it was decorated with dirty leftover old furniture from a goodwill store. The room smelled and I think that is what bothered me the most of all. I asked room service for 2 pillows and 2 blankets and a Iron. So after about 45 minutes the guy showed up with one pillow. I explained that we needed the other pillow and the blankets since we were planning to use the sofa bed, and we needed the iron the said he would get us the pillow and the blanked so I gave him $10 bucks as he left. About half hour later he comes back with only one blanket and no iron. I was just too tiered to even go there as he stood there waiting for another tip. If this is a 5 star hotel then I am the king of Morocco. I will never go back. more

Great rooms 3/28/2009

Great guest rooms but little bit hard to get around since it's so big and multiple elevators. If you stay in the VIP rooms, you get free snacks and drinks. Great views, service and new furniture. Tao the night club is in the hotel too along with the grand canel. The casino though is bit smokey. The new Plazo is actually lot better. Should check them out. more

Luxurious with excellent service 1/29/2007

We recently stayed at the Venetian for a short getaway. Upon arrival at the property, we were greeted with friendly doormen. Walking into the Venetian from the porte cocher is amazing. Huge fountain and phenomenal painted ceilings ... like being in the Sistine Chapel. Check in was not to be until 3pm, however, they let us check into our room early (noon). All rooms here are a suite. There are robes in the bathroom as well as nice toiletry products. We dined at two of the restaurants, which I will review under seperate posts. Cafe Lux is a good value. We played some slots, but lade luck was not on our side. Overall, the Venetian really brings it home with their excellent personal service. more

Best Hotel on the Strip! 6/3/2006

I was in love with the Venetian hotel in Vegas - spent two nights there during Memorial Day when the rates came down low enough to be affordable, and boy was it worth it! Stepping into the lobby felt like a 5-star experience, gorgeous marble floors, and they ran out of our room-type so had to upgrade us to a room on the 27th floor with a fantastic view of the strip! And the room - wow, the bathroom was almost as big as my entire apartment in New York! Marble everything. Big bed, and stairs down to a sort of living room, just beautiful, and QUIET! I found walking through the hotels in Vegas overwhelming - had to be indoors all the time and it was impossible to understand where I was in relation to Las Vegas Boulevard, I felt constantly lost. The Venetian was one of the only hotels where I did NOT have this feeling. The lobby and casino were bright and open, high-ceiling, so didn't feel so daunting. You MUST visit the Canal Shoppes floor - there are beautiful ceilings painted like sunset, spectacular, as is the food! Last but not least - make sure to take a gondola ride, just have fun, this place is beautiful! more

It's incredible! 4/15/2006

The Venetian is really amazing. Everything about it is beautiful. I love walking through all of the stores, where the water and gondola go by. It's a lot of fun to just walk through the hotel and casino looking at all of the decorations. The casino is also really nice. I would recommend anyone who hasn’t been before to stop by and take a look. more

An Italian Experience in Vegas 4/12/2006

The Venetian is a fairly new hotel located dead center of The Strip. The second floor has an enormous Italian painting covering the entire ceiling of a section of the casino. The Venetian also has a wax museum of celebrities called Madame Tussaud’s which I feel is very much overpriced. There is also two gondola boat rides, one of which is outside and the other is inside. I find it would be embarassing to ride one because the boat rower sings very loud and everyone looks and takes pictures of you in it. more

Venetian is fabulous! 4/9/2006

So much fun! The wax museum, indoor mall, gondola rides both inside & out (fabulous and worth the wait & money), unbelievable décor…so great, I would recommend it anytime! I hear the suites are fantastic, but we didn’t stay there this trip – though I hope to stay in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed the Venetian and kept going back. Check it out! more

Beautiful hotel 3/20/2006

My husband and I came across an unadvertised deal on the Venetian's website. I thought I was seeing things and thought it was too good to be true. They were offering rooms for $59 a night! (The rooms are normally anywhere from $300 and up per night) I decided to call to book it, just to make sure I was REALLY getting this deal. The operator on the phone was even surprised! We booked our trip to stay all of the nights that this deal was available. It was for 4 nights. When we arrived, we were totally wowed at how big our room was (all the rooms are suites at the Venetian) and how beautiful it was. We had a fantastic time while we were there. If I could afford it, I'd stay there every time we go to Vegas! Maybe I'll get lucky and they will run that deal again. *crosses fingers* more

Someone in Vegas finally got it right... 2/9/2006

The owner of this hotel/casino, built it as a labor of love for his wife and he was SERIOUS. He knows what he likes and wants it to be right. Well, he succeeded. Every room is actually a suite with a sunken living room and that's to start (it only gets better with each level of suite). It is luxe and comfortable (presumably so you won't want to leave). And to be honest, there is so much going on here, you won't even want to leave the property. There are 5 pools, the Canyon Ranch Spa, and there are more than enough restaurants to cover any kind of food that you may desire (including my personal fave, Grand Luxe Cafe). If you can, book yourself a suite here, you'll be very happy. more

Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino 11/26/2005

Venetian hotel is extravagant with awsome restaurants and beautiful rooms. When you get a good price on the rooms - you know you have scored large and don't want to go back home! Service is great - your hotel towels get changed daily and everybody serves you with a smile on their face. There are also lots of choices for entertainmtent around and in the hotel. Great place to be!!!!! more

Classy 11/15/2005

The outside is really nice, although they don't have trees and use practically every sq. inch. The water way is spectacular, especially at night. Inside is pretty good, nice shopping and restaurants but I highly reccomend the rooms. This is the best hotel room I've seen anywhere in the world. I can't comment on the price, of course I didn't pay, but the room is HUGE with nice views, loft, 2 tvs, nice shower, tub and pretty much everything you need. There's even a telephone in the toilet. Now that's what I call luxurious! My fave room in las vegas and anywhere else. more

Like the real Venice, only cleaner 9/11/2005

We took a Gondola ride at the Venetian. We took the indoor ride at a cost of fifteen dollars a person. For the price, there was the chance that we would have to ride with another couple. As it turned out it was just my wife and I, which turned out well. The Gondolier sang to us in Italian, just like the real gondoliers did in Venice, Italy. Although it was not the real Venice, the gondola ride at the Venetian was great! Highly recommended. more

Stop by to visit the interior, but sleep somewhere else 9/7/2005

The Venetian is amazing. The interior is breathtaking and definitely worth checking out. Have a gondolier row you around & sing to you in the indoor gondolas. Enjoy some good shopping. But stay at a different hotel. It's as nice as all of the other mammoth hotels on the strip, but it's also FILLED with people at all hours. Plus, the layout forces you to go through the casino to get upstairs to your room. Once you get past the sea of people, the rooms are well-appointed and a very nice size. They're all suites, with a sitting area, nice beds and a large bathroom. Room service is $$$$$, as are the room rates. There are numerous places to have dinner, and it's centrally located on the strip. Still, there are better places to stay while visiting Las Vegas. more

A little oover the top 8/29/2005

With its murals and frescoes dripping off all the walls, this place is a little oover the top. Thoough the sloots are muted (which is a VERY nice touch), this hootel coompetes quuite nicely with the belllagio in terms of price, but noot clientel. The venetian is a haven for the neuveau riche, while the Balleagio proovidess a moore soophisticated exxperience. The Venetian has a mall with gondoola rides past the stoores and foood coourt. Not exactly the height of sophistication. It also houses a wax museum within its walls. mm hmm. All the same this all suite hotel is definitely soomethinng to see. more

I used to like it, but my friend had bad experience 8/26/2005

I haven't stayed there myself, but whenever i visited Las Vegas, I liked going there for a few hours. But this is what my co-worker had to say about Venetian. **************** We had a AMAZINGLY rotten experience at the Venetian. The water went out for a day and a night, and the hotel was just ridiculously unhelpful. ("Fancy bottled water is available in our gift shop for $3.00 a liter, sir.") No shower, no toilet, and no sympathy from anybody who might have been able to help. Never again, ever. **************** Make your own decision. more

great hotel 8/23/2005

Rooms at the Venetian are somewhat expensive but you can really see the difference when you get there. Rooms are large and almost like mini-suites with a nice seating area. Downstairs is very plush, with the canal and gondolas, a shopping mall, and great restaurants. It's in a great location too. Very nice place to stay if you'd like to splurge. more

Venetian Resort Hotel Casino 8/5/2005

I would consider the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino to be a luxury casino. The hotel rooms here are very expensive compared to many of the other casinos around it. However, the service and class of this casino is unlike any other. You pay for first class treatment, and that is exactly what you get. They cater to your needs and will do whatever is in their power to keep you satisfied. Inside, this casino is extravagent. You can instantly tell that this is not just your ordinary casino! more
