One you get in, the club is very nice (as are ALL clubs in Vegas), and highly stylized. Something different is the appearance of burlesque dancers once an hour after 10:30pm. Theya re a bit full of themselves here (this is not the only club in Vegas that has this and it's been done in LA), this is not the best club or the most original, but it is nice.

It seems like every hotel here on the Strip has one of these shows. And that might well be true. However, this one sells out almost all the time, so that might tell you how good this show is. If you knwo nothign about it, it is a myriad of dancers, singers, musicians, contortionists and champion-caliber acrobats in amazing makeup and costumes doing a bunch of jawdropping things. the tickets can be pricey, but they are definitely worth it. Be sure to get here a bit early, they have some pre-entertainment. the show is dark (not running) Mondays and Tuesdays.

The decor definitely achieves the Tuscan feel of the restaurant, which means it's just like every other Italian restaurant here in Las Vegas. The big difference decorwise is the original artwork by such celebrities as Tony Curtis, Phyllis Diller and Tony Bennett.
For those that like this kind of thing, they also have an open kitchen here. They smile on dressy casual attire and it's dinner only, since they are open from 5pm-11pm.

This is not simply a Mexican restaurant and taquila bar. It also serves NEW MEXICAN food. With everything that they have going here, it is easy to see why Isla was Isla was voted and received an award for the best Mexican Restaurant in Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Life Magazine.
The restaurant is homey with their wooden tables and mint green tiled walls. Their alcohol choices show that the people invloved with this bar know that they are doing. You are even greeted by a tequila goddess when you enter, carrying a tray or margaritas, sangrias, etc.

This is an offshoot of the original in Los Angeles Canter's eccept taken to another level. Well, decorwise, actually. the food in LA is just as good as it is here. Just be warned that your sandwich will require a styrofoam box to carry it's remaining carcass home because they are that big. And boy are they good!!! Personally I recommend the roast beef on rye.
And oh yeah, the seats are SOOOO comfortable and it's a good thing, too. You'll need to roll each other out of here.

Ok, so there's a few huge ships out front that do a show at night. that's the biggest thing here that speaks of Treasure Island (unless you're in the casino). But otherwise, it's a very basic hotel. The rooms are nice, however, dont' get me wrong (you DO have to pay more for internet access-ACK). Check in is relatively fast, especially in comparison with the other hotels on the Strip.
Depending on the room, you can get some great views of the Strip (please know that if you're in the front of the hotel, there are 4 Siren of TI shows nightly). The bathrooms are above average, and the rooms come equipped with safes, and the decor is a bit um, poufy, shall we say (I guess they were going for the Pirates of the Caribbean)?

I enjoyed the old free show that Treasure Island put on. I mean, you can't really argue with a free show, right? Well, you can with this one. Basically, it is good. It's free, there's singing, pirates and pyrotechnics. But as I could take a child to the old one, this one, I would be leery of taking anyone not already in puberty. The girls are scantily clad and treating men like pieces of meat. Not something I want a child in my care to see. The show is every hour and a half. Be sure to get there early, since it gets crowded FAST, regardless what show you go to (the earliest is 5:30pm).

Just like every other hotel in Las Vegas (especially on the Strip), the Tropicana has an itailan restaurant. Being that Italian food is my favorite (absoloutel favorite), I had to try it. It has all the Italian faves, which is no surprise. They do them well, which is a good thing. The service is attentive, the desserts are fabulous (their tiramisu is perfection) and the pizza will make you shun any other.

This is a 24 hour diner, but don't take it at that. It is a step above most diners (the menu is NOt simply diner fare), perhaps even 2 steps above. One such touch that makes me say this is the fresh fruit served with your sandwich and their infamous $18.95 Steak & Crab Leg Dinner (which you can get every night). Tthe prices are not in tune with what you get, and that is a good thing since the food is above average and the prices are average. Good deal.
If you come in the middle of the night, the specials are just right.
