Terra-ble Burger 4/17/2010

So, we have been dying to try this new Terra-Burger who's motto is, "Simply put, we provide a more wholesome alternative to those who love a good fast food burger. Well, simply put, all you provided me, Terra-Burger, was a long wait in an empty drive through line on a Sunday night for a quite pricey and tasteless burger that literally crumbled apart in my disappointed little hands. After waiting in an empty drive through line for 15 minutes, we received two burgers with cheese and bacon and one order of fries for $23.00 (they charge 89 cents to add on each side.) So, I had to assume that people were coming to this local joint not for the economical prices but for the deliciousness of this organic drive-thru burger. To my dismay, this was not the case either. My burger was tasteless, bland and the entire thing crumbled into chunky little pieces before I could even get it into my mouth. Oh, but one thing that did not crumble into my hands was the bacon and cheese... because they forgot it. The best part of this meal was the fry that accidentally made it in my bag that I ate on the way home. All I can say is Terra-Burger, you're right, "fast food doesn't have to be junk food." But can you at least add some taste in there somewhere too? Oh, and it's technically not "fast food" anymore if you're wait and cost is the same as Truluck's next door. Pros: There's a playground.... if you have children. Cons: bad food, pricey, long wait, can't get orders right more

Delicious, Guilt-Free Burger Time! 11/18/2009

I love, love LOVE Terra Burger. They are a bit pricey, but the Guadalupe location has excellent student specials as well as 1/2 price burgers for everyone on Fridays. Since they started their specials, I have been having lunch there twice a week. Their burgers are hearty and well-made (I always add bacon and get a wheat bun), their fries are fresh-cut and fresh-cooked, and their lemonade is delicious. I am so happy that I can finally have a hamburger and not feel guilty about the negative impact this one single eating choice makes on the environment. I am moving out of state in less than a month and honestly, I wish I could take Terra Burger with me. Pros: Excellent food Cons: Can be a little pricey more

Healthy-ish Burgers 9/3/2009

The burger was fairly good. The taste was a little bland, but the ingredients were definitely high quality. This burger won't leave you feeling terrible afterward! Great salads! Sweet potato fries were okay - not as good as Cuatro's though. Pros: Healthy Choices Cons: Sacrifice a bit of taste more

Don't go to the one on Research 7/18/2009

The new trend in Austin burgers is the eco-friendly organic burger joint, and I got to try this new restaurant. This was a very disappointing meal. I was excited, having tried the place on the Strip, so I took my wife to the new Research Blvd. shop. French fries and sweet potato fries were limp and soggy and seemed to have been sitting around for a long time. Even the grackles didn't want to eat them. The cooks didn't pay attention to the order, and put everything on even if you tell them to leave items off. The burger was nothing special. Messy, and acceptable, but not as good as nearby competitor Elevation Burger on Jollyville, whether in flavor or overall quality. One bad experience is more than enough, as competition is too fierce to keep re-trying an unsatisfactory experience. Pros: Playground is good, biodegradable corncups Cons: Bad fries, forgettable burger, no indoor seating more
