Great tasting buffet. 4/12/2006

We visited this restaurant enroute back from Lake Wisconsin and just loved the amazing array of delicious Indian food that this place had to offer. Everything was fresh and tasty. there was a light green salad, Indian tangy sauces and snacks, south Indian specialties and assortment of vegetarian and non vegetarian curries. The naan and tandoori chicken served on the tables was hot and tasty. And to sum up the meal was available great Indian deserts. Absolutely recommended more

sher a buffet on devon 3/18/2006

Sher a Punjab , well basically I would go there for the buffet only. If you're looking for a dependable buffet that you know will satisfy your hunger than this is it. The restaurant is good for that. The food is good for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. So go out with your friends and enjoy a meal. There are usually people there so the buffet food is fresh. You will eat until you are full and feel okay afterwards. There you have it, a dependable restaurant on devon. more

Revamp Needed 3/15/2006

I tried out this Indian restaurant with a friend. We chose to have their buffet because it was so cheap and offered so many different dishes. The food itself was okay. Not the best Indian food I have had, but it was doable for the price. But I was bit disgusted by the restaurant. It was in need of a good cleaning and though our plates and utensils were clean, the floor looked like it needed major sweeping and the table covers looked worn. Somebody needs to revamp this place ASAP. more

Hall 3/10/2006

They have a hall on the top floor of the building that people can use for a big party. My friend had his wedding here and it was a nice party. The food was good. They gave a buffet with chicken tikkas, biryani, curry, and naan,. The food was very tasty and there was lots of it. They also gave some gulab jamaans, which are sweet fried balls in syrup which were so so good. It was a happy occassion and this place made it even happier because of the good setting. more

Yummy Indian Buffet 8/13/2005

So the best thing about buffets is the variety and low price, both of which Sher-A-Punjab satisfies. Dinner buffet is $9, and has curry, tandoori chicken, naan, paneers, and those yummy dessert balls. It's located in the hub of the Indian community, over on Devon, and it isn't difficult to find. I can usually find meter parking quite easily, and it's a fun atmosphere to look around. The food is good, perhaps not fantastic if you're an Indian food connoisseur, but I know good food and I enjoyed it. more
