Phoenix is good, and you will know it by the line that's waiting every weekend. It is THE place to go for dim sum (small steamed dishes to share). Sunday is the day to go because the food is served off of carts and when it's busy, you will get fresh hot food coming the whole time. It is very busy so be ready to wait about half an hour to an hour as they don't take reservations by phone.

Mystic Lake Casino is a fun place to go with your friends at any age. You'll find a lot of old people as well as young people on the weekends (You only have to be 18 to gamble). They have a pretty good buffet that's huge, and free soda. It's not a far drive from the cities, so if you're itching to go to Vegas, but only have the night, Mystic could be a quick getaway.

There is one permanent installation that I really enjoy going to each time though, and you should definitely check it out if you go... It's the Apartment. You'll just have to go and see!

It's right next to the Belmont El stop if you take the train. And there are other really neat shops around there as well.

A friend introduced me to United Noodles, and I loved it. I can honestly say it's the best Asian grocery store I've been to here in the Midwest. It's clean, well-organized, and has a great selection. You can get dried/canned foods as well as fresh meat/fish, veggies, and frozen foods. They also have cookies, teas, and a gifts section.Prices are also really decent. The only issue is finding it. It's not in a very busy area, so you would have to get directions.
