Salon au Rouge

My mother and I went in for make-overs and did not expect the level of service we received. Friendly staff, cozy environment and every service you could think of wanting at a salon. All of the ladies at Salon au Rouge were a pleasure to work with; they listened to everything we wanted to do for our look and offered a variety of helpful ideas to help us decide what hairstyles and colors would look best on us. Not only did I get the best haircut and style I've ever had, but the staff also gave me a few good ideas and tips on how to style my hair differently with the new cut that I wasn't used to styling myself! I feel that their professionalism and experience are unrivaled in the Portland area. Never did they pressure us into buying services we did not want or need and they were extremely good at tailoring their salon services to our needs. I had the best time at Salon au Rouge and the results are fabulous! (check out the makeover photos on their web page) Leah gave me a new cut that is incredible. April put the perfect color and highlights in my hair and Eden did an amazing job on my makeup. I left feeling not only 10 years younger, but also uplifted and excited about my new look. The entire staff was really great and they have amazing skills. They took me from frumpy to gorgeous in one sublime afternoon. I was so pampered. They have a great location, delicious coffee, and a the atmosphere is the perfect blend of elegance and relaxation. If you are looking for a salon that has it all and does it all you have to try Salon au Rouge. It is a little piece of heaven on earth! Pros: The Staff has to be the best in town. So glad to have found this salon! It meets my almost every need! (Infact, I didn't even know of some I was missing out on!) This is so cool! Not only do I love my hair 24/7 but I now look forward to my next visit expectantly because I know it will be a fantastic up -lift to me all-around and that's from a hair salon! YES!! It's a great package deal for me (my time well spent, reasonable cost, excellent results for my hair, confidence that it will happen again, shopping possibilities, other pamperings available, just so many wonderful positive happenings!!!! like super friendly people, good magazines, endless lemoned-water, talk, talk, talk, listen,listen,listen - fun! Anyway, I went in first for my hair and then my folow-up visits were to maintain the really agreeable look/feel/experience my hair had taken on. Then there was my whole enjoyment of the whole salon thing! I would not ever want to admit any momoents that are 'all about' me' but I am so happy to have finally found this place that lets me have my own 'worthy' indulgence and not feel guilty about it! - remember we're talking HAIR here! It is my special treat I do for myself and will continue to do every 6 weeks! I know it's most likely all the attention I get while at SalonauRouge that keeps me coming back and it's all a pleasant thing! I feel safe about this relationship and hope to keep it always! April Eastman is the queen of color. How she can take a head of tired, overworked, stressed out hair and turn it into luxurious, shiny, and the most flattering color ever in such a short span of time is beyond me! I consider each trip to this salon a retreat - a gift I give myself. Each stylist gives 100% and you leave feeling thankful to have been fortunate enough to find this wonderful place! Pros: Excellent at returning calls, online appointment management Cons: Turning off of Beaverton-Hillsdale can seem a little daunting sometimes more

Stylist Caitlyn Wilshire is awesome!!! She is super friendly, personable, very talented at both coloring and cutting, and is just an all around great gal with a great attitude. I have also met several of her coworkers while getting my hair done and they all seem very nice, too. Pros: Enjoy a glass of wine, comfy place to rest while your hair is drying. I loved the salon, the atmosphere is very relaxing and classy. I loved the girls that worked there. April highlighted my hair with excellent color choices and Shena cut my hair. I was very impressed with the professional, friendly and personable stylists at this salon. My stylist listened to my requests and gave me advise as to what would look the best on me. I was very happy with the service that I recieved. I definately recomend this salon to anyone who is looking for a new stylist, or is new to the area. more
