Forget this place! 3/3/2014

Avoid this place like the plague! First off, he told me that if I didn't sell to him today, he would charge an "appraisal fee". (Other places don't do this.) I told him I don't do business like that and, after another exchange, I told him to "Go to Hell". Then he said "F*** Off, Idiot!" Would you want to do business with a guy like that? There are plenty of nice guys buying gold, silver and jewelry. Go to one of them! more

Never been in a coin store. Had to sell my dad's collection who passed away so I went to Rocky Mountain Coin because I heard them on the radio. I was very pleased with the friendly staff who treated me right and not stupid because I didnt know anything about coins. Please go here if you are looking for a coin store. more

Highly recommend Rocky Mountain Coin! 8/4/2011

I shopped around my collection of old gold coins, I first went to Sonny's jewelery store, they had a ad in the paper saying they buy gold. Their offer seems a little low. I had no idea how low it was until I went into Rocky Mountain Coin and was offer almost 4 times as much money for my coins, I wont be specific about amounts but the difference in price would buy a nice used CAR! A nice young man with a pony tail helped me and explained that my gold coins were only worth the gold value and were not rare. But they still offered ~4x more!!!!!! I'm really glad I spent the extra time to make the extra money. I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Coin for honest straight deals Thanks again Rocky Mountain Coin! Thank you Thank you Thank you more

FIVE STAR:Highly recommend! 7/28/2011

I am a regular customer of Rocky Mountain Coin and find the previous review of the customer claiming horrendous service unbelievable. Sounds to me like a jealous competitor. I know the owner (Klaus Degler) personally and have always found him and his employees being respectful, honest and knowledgeable professionals. The claim of the disgruntled customer that they are not members of the BBB is totally false. Not only are they members, but have received the BBB Gold Star Award. The company is on Tom Martinos recommended list and just recently received by independent survey The 2009 Best in client satisfaction award. (As seen in 5280 & Colorado Biz magazines Sept. issues) And that's THE TRUTH. Highly recommend! more

Large Selection 7/22/2011

I recently visited this company in search of some rare coins to add to my collection. The employees were incredibly knowledgeable, polite, and helpful! They had a large selection of rare coins, as well as other coin-related services! They are a fair deal, comparable to many places I have purchased coins from before. more

better price 7/20/2011

Shopped 2 other stores before I sold my gold (jewelry) to the Rocky Mt'n Coin Shop prior to Christmas. The other 2 places I shopped wanted to know how much I wanted?? I said as much as I can get. Both places were reluctant on giving me a price unless I told them what I wanted. The bottom line is that I received a better price and a lot more courtesy. more

Rude Customer service and terrible attitude 6/18/2011

I called rocky mtn coin with questions about silver prices. I wanted to know their premium and taxes to get a price. They were rude and insulting and actually hung up on me while I was talking to them. They have been rude and short before. I will never set foot in that store again. They are smug and arrogant and give off that feeling to the customers, the people who have made them what they are. I've read bad reviews about them before and I'm sure that they will respond to this one with the same insults that they have to the other ones. Whatever they may say, the fact is they are just plain rude and bad business people. If you want a better alternative go to gold exchange on Parker road and Peoria in Aurora. they are very friendly and respectful and totally better than rmc in price and quality. I spend thousands on gold and silver each month. Bye bye Rocky Mountain Coin. more
