I feel so lucky to have found Spight Mobile--a place where as a woman I feel comfortable taking my car and knowing I'm not going to be taken advantage of! Dave has helped me keep my 1998 Jeep up and running. He was willing to go the extra mile to find a solutions and their prices are the best I've encountered at repair shops in Austin. They are honest and hard working--don't hesitate to take your car there! I did my home work first and looked them up on the BBB and found out that they have a good grade. (B) more

I'll give these guys 5 stars. I took my car to the shop and they couldn't find out what was wrong with it when It was hooked up to the machines. I called Spight guys, and not even 5 mins they knew what was wrong and fixed it. Great job guys. more

I would highly recommend that you DON'T USE Spight Automotive!! This company along with the owner of this business (Phillip Spight) is a scam!!! My son used this company for repairs to his vehicle. The mechanic that installed the parts ended up damaging and breaking the parts that were being installed on the truck. When my son contacted the business owner he grew very irrate and threatened to file a police report on him as well as slander his name if he didn't stop asking for Phillip to correct his mistake. \r Since that conversation, Phillip has been doing just what he said he would do. He has tried sneaky tactics to try to slander my sons name and business online. Anything that was ever written about Phillip is the truth and he has no morals to act and do as he has so far. We are currently undergoing mediation with the BBB to try to resolve this issue. If Phillip we're any kind of honest businessman he would just refund the money that is owed. We intend on taking this issue as far as possible in order to seek restitution.\r ***The public will be updated in regards to the BBB mediation. I passed the shop everyday on my way to work and wanted to see what they would charge me to finish some body work on one of my cars. I went to the front office and spoke to the person at the front desk who I latter found out was the owner Richmond. He called his paint and body man Tim to the front office to give me a quote on the work. Tim stated that they would charge me $1500 to complete the work with a turn around time of 3 weeks. The price was about average from what I was quoted from other shops but the turn around time is what draw me in. The next day I dropped the car off to the shop and paid the requested $1500. I returned 3 weeks later to find that my car had not been moved from the original spot they parked it when I dropped it off. The front desk person stated that they had gotten backed up and my car would be done within a week, I excepted that and returned the next week and there still had not been anything done to my car. This time Tim the paint and body guy stated that he had some personal set backs and ensured me that the car would be done the following week, I returned the following week and my car was pulled in the work shop but no where near complete this went on for 3 months up until now. So today I went to pick up my car still not finished 3 months later and the money I had paid and Richmond stated that he had no record of what I paid to have done in his shop and needed to talk to his body and paint man Tim. I promptly told him I paid $1500 for body work and he stated that I would have to talk to his assist to resolve the issue. I would not recommend this very unprofessional shop to my worst enemy. The shop is very poorly manged and understaffed. Cheating you out of your money is there main concern and they have limit to how far they will go to ensure they get what they can out of you. I went to this place for minor tune up and every time I came back, my perfect car had another issue for which I had to go back to their mechanic. they are dishonest and try to find out ways to make money. Last time I went to christian brothers and its been 3 months, I dont see any issue with my car (no check engine light on, no airbag light on). dont go to this cheap place for any service because they make sure that you come back and they can make some extra bucks....
