Worst Theatre Ever!!!!!!!! 6/25/2011

The service at this abysmal excuse of a theatre is laughable at best. I got a pizza and they didn't deliver it at all. When I went up to the customer service they took me to the counter where a pompous, arrogent, jerk tried to claim that he went up and down the aisles of 6 differant theatres trying to deliver it. That is the biggest load of BS I've ever heard in my life not even the manager was confident in this story. Not once during this ordeal was I ever apologized to and I had to ask for the pizza myself. Never have I heard of such a lazy, half assed employee who doesn't even think of his job responsibilites. That is the service this theatre provides. IT SUCKS!!!!! I plan on never returning to Regal 16 Eagan, or any other Regal because they obviously don't hire people who care about anyone but themselves. more

Great place to visit if you don't mind the extra $2 2/8/2010

I live closer to other movie theaters, well one is 1 mile away, the other closed. Regal Eagan Stadium 16 is 5 miles away. The closer one doesn't look friendly and costs the same. Its a newer theater too, so I can't figure out why it looks so bad and is dingy looking and smelly... anyway I digress..................................................... The Regal 16 is one of 2 Regal Cinemas in Minnesota, the other is a Regal 20 in Brooklyn Center and that one is also pretty worn down looking. Regal 16 looks great! I see that other reviews are about the high ticket prices. The difference is $2. Regal charges $2 more than AMC and other similar theaters. However, popcorn, soda and candy are *just as* expensive. The other reviewers don't seem to realize this and talk about having coronaries when they talk about their experience in how much it all costs. If they had gone to any other theater, they would have paid the same amount. So, I really don't think their reviews are all that helpful and their ratings are based too much on how much they spent compared to how safe their cars are in the parking lot (its a nice neighborhood, low crime etc.)....................................................................................... Regal Cinemas has a loyalty program, AMC does too. I've compared the two and Regal's is much better. Regal's totals up everything you pay for, both for tickets and concession. $1 spent is 1 point. After so many points you get free stuff: popcorn, soda, tickets. AMC does this too, except they only count tickets purchased and limit that to two. So the senior that took his two granddaughters to the movies at Regal spent $45 and got 45 points. If he had gone to AMC he would have saved $6 on the tickets, been limited to 4 points for those tickets (as AMC limits you to 2 tickets per day, he wouldn't have gotten any credit for the 3rd ticket). Regal also has other incentives. Pay $1 on select candy on Mondays and get a free small popcorn on Tuesdays for example. You can ""upgrade"" your popcorn by paying the difference in regular prices. So the medium popcorn normally costs $1 more than the small and the large costs $1.50 more. So for $1.50 you can upgrade that free small popcorn into a large! AMC doesn't allow this.................................................................................................................................................................................................. All in all, Regal Eagan Stadium 16 is a great movie house. The cost of tickets have gone up for everyone, its not just this place. Stop reviewing the place based on what the industry charges people! Pros: Clean, friendly people, stadium seating Cons: outdoors parking, ticket prices $2 higher more

Sad to say now a seldom pleasure 12/26/2009

For a senior and two little girls, I had to pay $21 for tickets. As a Regal member, I earned a free small popcorn. With one small coke, two small slushes, one Dibs and one sour candy plus the free popcorn, I had to pay another $24. $45 for 2 1/2 hours entertainment with two little girls is way too pricey for a fixed income and repressed economy. Sadly, I won't be taking the girls again for a long time. And, you get what you pay for - the popcorn tasted burned and was filled with the little bits of leftover popcorn from the ""bottom of the pan"". The movie was great; the experience left a lot to be desired. Pros: comfortable stadium seating; clean Cons: money, money, money more

Worst Movie Experience I have ever had 11/26/2008

The Regal Egan Stadium 16 has managed to take all the pleasure out of going to the movies. This evening, the night before Thanksgiving, I decided to take the individual I work as a PCA (Personal Care Attendant) with to the movies to reward him for a school year of hard work, and to enjoy the holiday season. I was not overly shocked that the price of a first run movie was $9.50 for an adult and $7.00 for a student (although I should have been) however I was mortified when we stepped to the concession counter. I browsed their selections and decided that the ""number 1"" looked good; however I could see no price listed. So I ordered a ""number one"" consisting of two medium sodas and large popcorn. I thought that the cash register was broken when it rang up at $17.50. When the young man across the counter said ""that will be seventeen fifty,"" I just about had a coronary. I replied ""you've got to be kidding me"" to which he answered ""no, sir."" Well, given that the price of corn is going up all over the world I suppose it's only reasonable that the movie going crowd should be expected to shell out the difference in the prices they pay for popcorn, but this was ridiculous. So I decided to skip the popcorn and just get the pops, small pops that is. When he told me there was a fifty cent difference between the price of a medium and a small, I figured that since I all ready had to take out a second mortgage to pay for the price of admission I might as well go the extra mile and spring for the mediums. $9 was the price of two medium sodas, however I suppose it's worth it when you consider that the cups are the size of a horse trough. Well, to sum things up when we finally did get seated I had a very hard time enjoying the show even with the state of the art sound system and comfortable seating, I kept wondering how anybody can justify spending that much on a movie and treats, from here on out its the Riverview or bust. I will never give one more cent to a Regal Cinema Pros: Great stadium seating and fantastic sound all Overshadowed by Enormous Over Pricing Cons: Concession Prices are beyond Ridiculous, Admissions are More than similar theatres more

My favorite Minneapolis theater ever! 9/15/2006

This theater was the nicest theater I have been to in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. I really like all the neon lights inside and I thought the little cappucino bar was nice as well. The popcorn is some of the best I've had at a Minneapolis theater. Even if you have to drive 10 or 15 minutes, it is still a great place to see all the new releases. Pros: Good concessions, cool neon lighting inside, staff very friendly and helpful. more

Great local theater 12/12/2002

The theater is a great local theater to watch first run movies. There is not usually a large crowd. The only downside is they do not hold on to movies for a long time. Pros: good parking, comfortable more

Pricey Popcorn 8/30/2002

I love movies and really enjoy this theater but I agree with the other reviewer, the popcorn is a) pricey and b) boring. Putting a bit of butter oil on the top kernals doesn't cut it. Why is it so hard for management to understand that when ""butter"" is requested the customer wants all the popcorn to receive the ""butter."" Pros: Good parking, Comfortable seating, Accessible Cons: Pricey/boring popcorn, Little matinee discou more
