Most are gone. Mamas on Rice St is good, but different. I have read about the service - the place is busy. As for the people that are complaing about the pizza, I guess they grew up on Pizza Hut and Dominos!
Pros: Back in the day...there was a lot more places like this.

cosettas is a tradition for friends and family for any event at the xcel center...i started it many years ago and have tons of ppl that continue that tradition-the food is so great and for the price, you get a hearty helping and i guess as i'm reading these reviews, i'm confused by the negative ones because i guess if a place is good, then of course there will be a line-i think thats a testament to its positives not negatives-i guess i just wanted to voice that i greatly enjoy the food. and the people who seem to have problems with the style or upstairs dining area or the lines, then perhaps a quieter less popular less crowded place would be in order? but don't knock the place because of those things. its what makes it stand out and/or how many people do love the food...
Pros: great caf style and incredible pasta and pizza
Cons: waiting because everyone else knows how good it is too..

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times since it opened and was definately concerned this last year with all the bad media coverage Fhima's recieved as it has been one of my favorites...So, I stopped by for the first time in a while last Saturday and was pleasently surprised to see it fairly busy despite the bitter cold. My friend and I started with a drink at the bar, unsure if we were going to stay for dinner. We ordered two of their signature infused Martini - the Fantini - which is always good and chatted for a bit. While we were chatting the bartender mentioned that they had just made a change to their menu and offered to show us. We took a look and were interested in some of the new items so we decided to stay for dinner, The bartender arranged for a nice table by the window - a nice touch and we sat down to get started with our meal. On our servers reccomendation (she took us through the menu even though we had been there before but since it there were a number of new items we didn't mind) we started with the Wedge Salad (me) and a bowl of the Harira (my friend). The wedge sald was excellent with a nice combination of blue cheese and candied walnuts - definately my kind of thing. My friend thought the Harira was a little different from the soups he usually liked but found in interesting and I tasted abit and really liked the spices in it. For the main course I tried the new duck and my friend went with the Pesto Halibut. Now it was time for wine and unfortunately the list was a little thin - the server told me that they are changing the list - but we found a decent red at a good price that went well with our dinners. I loved the duck! Really cool presentation with a halved duck breast in some sort of plum sauce and a layered phyllo and duck pastry on the side. My Friend also enjoyed the Halibut - only complaint is that the menu is now ala carte and he missed the potatoes from the old halibut! Oh well! Glad to see Fhima's doing well again.
Pros: Like the new menu; great bartenders
Cons: heat had trouble keeping up with the cold

This place is a good Japanese restaurant to eat at for lunch. They have Bento-boxes on their lunch menu, which have different sorts of Japanese food. You can also get some nice combination lunches and don-buri for under $10. The interior is very attractive and it’s a fun place to go on occasion.

If you are in St. Paul, and you are looking for a great restaurant, look no further than Punch Pizza. I have tried many Pizza places in St. Paul, and this is definately the best. It is especially good for college students, because they give discounts if you ask them for a card. Located on Cleveland Avenue near the St. Kate's.
