I used them for a refinance too, and I also found them to be competent. They had the lowest rates I could find and I liked using all the calculators to view how long I would be in debt. They are just a broker, which means they don't service your mortgage, and sell it quickly. Still, for the short time I dealt with them they were great. I recommend them liberally.

When I wanted to refinance my mortgage, this business was a great help. I told them what my goal was and they were able to reduce my mortgage so much that my payments were not only affordable but I was able to pay off the mortgage earlier than I would have ever expected. I was guided through the entire process and didn't have to pay any out of pocket money for the refinancing.

This is a locally owned and operated bank. In this institution, they get to know who you are and address you by name. It has a small town feel to it. They are a full service bank and have special deals on checking and savings accounts. They are totally involved with the community and provide backing for many local worthwhile events.

I have been to H & R Block twice now, and have realized that they use the same kind of software that is on the market today at the local electronic stores. I think I will save my money and do it myself next time. I feel I could have done the work without paying someone else to do it.

My mom has been banking with Twin Cities Federal (TCF) for years and recommended that I do so as well. I took her advice and started a checking account. It is simple and absolutely free. Other available services are savings, loans and credit, insurance, investing, convenience banking (check card, ATM machines, supermarket banking, etc.), and online banking. The customer service is friendly. They are very understanding when it comes to overdraft fees and are usually willing to let it go. I would recommend TCF.

I Do Not like how the whole world seems to be taken over by Big Business so, when we were looking for a bank I wanted to find a bank that was like when we were growing up where the people who worked there treated you with respect and seemed genuinely happy to see you when you came in. I found that in Anchor bank in Woodbury. They treat you like an old friend and they go the extra mile to help with all of your banking needs. When I have a question for them, they usually get back to me the same day, usually within a couple of hours. If the kids have an account with them they get a happy birthday card in their birthday month which they take in and redeem for a gift. Usually a gift certificate for DQ! They also serve popcorn on Fridays and doughnuts on Sat mornings. When you go through the drive through you get candy for yourself and treats for your dog. They are always ready to help in anyway they can. I really appreciate the feel of a small town bank instead of the rudeness, disrespect and long lines I have experienced at the big banks in our area. If Family friendly service is something you desire, than Anchor bank is the Bank for you!
