NY style Pizza in seattle? YES!

Worst

As a native New Yorker, I was hopeful when I first tried Piecora's Pizza. The Capitol Hill establishment has a sign featuring the Statue of Liberty and proclaiming NY-style pizza....

YES! YES! YES! Piecora's NY PIZZA IN SEATTLE ! 10/12/2009

My Darling Spidey and I are thinking that the Pizza and atmosphere we prefer in The Emerald City is Piecora's on Madison. It is right off of 14th so we go up to Pine and cut a right. Or straight up Pike. The important thing is to get there! Great wide booths accomodate friends and coats. Friendly waitstaff and Bartender had us rolling. We shared a half pizza and we were full. Other people were nice and approachable. Drinks (crown & coke) were awesome. We highly recommend Piecora's NY Pizza. Very budget friendly for the little big city. We look forward to returning to this Seattle staple every time we have a pizza and personality craving. Can't wait for Poetry night Thursdays SEE YOU HERE! Pros: Wait staff humorous and friendly Cons: too full no kidding more

Okay pizza, not worth the attitude 3/22/2009

Went there tonight with a friend and ordered a half combo, half blue cheese and onion pizza. We got the half combo...the other half never came. When the waiter checked on us, I told him we never received the other order. He walked away. Later came back with the bill, and I mentioned (again), that we never received the other half of our order. His response was: ""Well, we didn't charge you for it"". And that I was ""too nice"" to get it. My take is that they didn't want to make it, didn't make it, and the waiter totally blew us off. Piecora's is not the only game in town; I won't be back."" Pros: Okay pizza Cons: Poor service. more

Awesome Pizza - Awesome Service 2/23/2009

My girlfriend wanted to have her 35th birthday party in a space with good food that was family friendly (she nannies for a few small kids). Pros: great staff, parking lot, good food Cons: a little higher priced than most, but still worth it more

I would give this place 3.5 stars, but the system only allows me to give 3. The service was definitely great, our waitress was amazingly nice and a... more

BEST PIZZA, Fast Service 7/7/2008

I went to Piecora's Pizza to watch the UFC 86. I didn't see the 10 foot screen they were talking about so we all had to stare at the 40 inch (guess) above the bathroom hallway. It was CROWDED in there. The pizza was awesome. Pros: Best Pizza ever Cons: Crowded more

Our Favorite! 6/17/2008

Piecora's is the best pizza in town! We have been going there for a few years and love it each and everytime. The sauce is tangy and very flavorful. more

This pizza is great 5/30/2008

get the Queens; it is fantastic. The crust is great and I eat here at least twice a month. The service is a little slow for lunch though, don't go if you are in a hurry but it is well worth the wait. Pros: great pizza pie Cons: the service is lame more

Horrible, cold pizza 4/15/2008

We live two blocks away, and the pizza arrived an hour later very cold. Okay, maybe delivery is bad. So we gave it a second chance and ordered pick-up. Pizza is still cold even though we saw it emerge from the oven. And, the crust is bready and tasteless. The only New York style part of the pizza is the service with attitude. I'll never go again Cons: good if you like cold pizza more

Great Pizza, Crappy Delivery 1/5/2008

I always get the brooklyn pizza and hot wings. The hot wings are great!!! Acctually hot, and smothered in sauce. The pizza is great, thin crust, just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Pros: Brooklyn Pizza, Hot wings, Food, Price is ok Cons: Bad service, Slow delivery more

Fantastic neighborhood spot for a slice and a brewskie 7/3/2007

I just had to start a citysearch account in response to what 'worstcustomerservice' wrote. I live in Capital Hill and walk over here for a pizza and a few pitchers of Mac and Jack's with friends AT LEAST once a week. Pizza is a total staple for me; my aunt owns a gourmet pizzeria and it is one of the few foods my boyfriend truly enjoys so I have been thoroughly exposed to even the most imaginative pie creations. I can say with zero hesitation that Piecora's is exactly what big, chewy, cheesy, greasy American-style pizza is supposed to taste like. And the service? It is true - in general they are not super friendly, and they stay out of your way but this is part of the atmosphere that the establishment creates. And they are always fast and efficient and get your order right. Pros: food, speed of serice, accommodating for large groups more

the customer service is horrific, never go here for your own good. 6/29/2007

Piecora's is the absolute worst pizza joint ever. EVER. Pros: good pizza, large slices, interesting space Cons: HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE, ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE more

Great waitstaff, above average pizza 4/26/2007

As a semi-regular customer of Piecora's, I must say it is a great place to have a meal. Every Friday we have the same adorable server (Brian) who consistently puts us in a great mood. The Piecora's salad is incredible, but go with Italian, their Ranch and Blue cheese is often times wayyyy too thick. more

Horrible customer Service... 4/15/2007

So it seems as though if your family owns the restaurant you have the right to be rude to the customers that keep the business going....WRONG...I've been here about three times, and each time they have truly messed my order up, forgotten something or where just downright rude. If you don't like working customer service dont go into the business...Also the food stinks, I got the breaded eggplant parmesean my last visit, which truly consisted of tomato paste right out of the can, more bread then eggplant and the cheese tasted rubbery...and old...For nearly $10. Truly not worth the hype...I wont be eating here nor recomending it either. more

Best Pizza in Seattle 2/28/2007

Peicora's is absolute best spot for Pizza and beer in Seattle. Friday and Saturday nights are sooo fun. The pizza is delicious and the atmosphere is lively and contagious! Pros: Great Eats more

Seattle's Best Pizza 1/20/2007

Being here in Seattle from NY for over 15 years I started to give up on finding a great NY style pizza. Until someone shared a secret - Piecora's is THE BEST pizza in Seattle. Not too thin not too thick, not too much cheese and sauce. The crust was pure perfection. Cooked in real pizza ovens the crust is just the right crispy-ness and a crust that's perfect. The Italian sausage was ground and evenly distributed, the sweet peppers (not raw!!) and chopped garlic made for the perfect slice. They also have Newcastle on tap and Anchor Steam. This place serves a slice of heaven - go for it! Good service on a Saturday afternoon. Ample parking too. Pros: THE BEST pizza in Seattle, great beers, parking, big menu Cons: One location - PLEASE COME TO FEDERAL WAY! more

Aviod going too late in the evening..not much seating 10/30/2006

Once I was seated, everything went great. Our waiter was very patient and actually kinda cool. The food was great and you get pretty good sized portions. more

Best Pizza in Seattle 7/9/2006

Totally casual place. Great to stop at on the way home from work. Love the service and the people, but most of all the Pizza. Can't have enough of the stuff... Pros: Great Pizza, great service Cons: Popular more

We love Piecora's! 2/26/2006

It's our new weekly hangout. The best pizza, great service, inexpensive, comfortable environment, and did I mention the pizza? We've experimented with the rest-Piecora's is definitely the best. Pros: everything Cons: not, even, parking more

EAST COAST REPRESENTS 1/8/2006

I moved here about a year ago from NY and have been looking for restaurants that make me feel like Im at home. Diners, Bars, and of course Pizza. Piecoras makes a pizza that would make all NY' kers feel at home. Great food good and value along with East Coast authenticity. Fugetaboutit'....... Pros: Pizza, Salads, price Cons: parking more

Service vs Pizza... Take your pick 11/21/2005

Overall, Piecora's is a great place to go if you can get over the extremely and consistently poor service. Ive been there three times... each time about six months apart... and the lack of service and common decency left me starting my meal in a bad mood (Three strikes and your out I guess). The pizza is good, however, which leads me to my most suitable recommendation... DELIVERY! Pros: Quick , Good for groups, Good Food Cons: Terrible Service more
