I really want to say good things about Phoencia because to food is tastey and exotic but the service there is soooooo poor that I can't allow myself to shop there or recommend it. I'm not alone, it seems like everyone I know has a story about the employees being rude to them. The staff at Phoenicia is unfriendly, inattentive, threatening, impatient, careless and rude. I feel I should explain using the word ""threatening"". I once went with a spanish speaking friend who overheard the employees talking about how much they hated and wanted to k-ll a certain customer that was in the store. Aside from my friend and myself there was only one other person in the shop. I asumed they where speaking of me, since at the time, I shopped there often. Though I'm sure they were only joking about wanting to k-ll the offending customer , I still think it was beyond rude to say it out loud in a foreign language and asume the person they were speaking of would be none the wiser. More often than not, they fail to get my simple requests correct, by putting unwanted items on my food they've caused me again and again to soil my clothes with drippy (and delicious) sauses in an effort to remove them. I've visited on busy days when the staff forced me to wait in long lines twice, once to order and again to pay despite my request for the opposite. They then refused to get for me a pastery (that was at their fingertips) when I requested it while placing my order. I've had so many negative experiences at Phoenicia I could write a small book. One last thing, most of the time when I've visited there have been flys in the pastery display. Gross Gross Gross.
