great food, great music, lots of fun 2/4/2010

I go to Paddy Whacks Irish Sports Pub very often. My friends and I have a blast every time we're there. If we just want to grab a drink and relax or if we're looking for a crazy night of drinks and dancing, we always seem to enjoy ourselves. I am a very big critic on customer service, and I believe Paddy Whacks is a top runner for that. The bartenders are very nice and know what they're doing, and the servers are sweet and handle everything I need. Even if I've ever had any problems, management has always known how to fix them or figure a way around them to make me and my friends happy. Pros: Great food menu for a sports pub more

comfortable 2/3/2010

I'm not into many clubs or bars outside of the corner bar scene. I never really cared much for for big crowds and the ""ametuer"" type mentality of friday and saturday nights at places in the olde city area mainly due to the clientele. Much like why i don't go out on Thanksgiving Eve (aka, ametuer night). The only night I really even think about doing something outside of the neighborhood is maybe on a thursday night. Pros: atmosphere variety, service Cons: prices more

Amazing experience! 2/3/2010

My husband and I just moved to the city from Boston. We live in Queens Village so we have been trying out the local bars. I have honestly never felt so welcomed. With only a few hours to spare, we went in on a Tuesday afternoon. Jenna was our bartender. She was so helpful with giving directions and suggestions. We stayed all afternoon! You can't beat two dollar domestics and 1/2 price apps for happy hour. Needless to say, we were pleased and this will be our new hangout. Check it out for yourself! Pros: Great food, friendly staff, affordable prices more

Great Food, Great Entertainment! Great Service! 2/3/2010

My friends and I really enjoy goin to Paddy Whacks. Great place to watch a sporting event! Place was packed for the Phils Playoffs, NFL Playoffs, March Madness, and more! The $5 Miller Lite Pitchers is a great deal all week long and the menu has a wide variety of food (not just bar food)! Not to mention the staff is friendly and nice to look at! I try to get there as often as I can! Pros: menu, attractive staff, fun atmosphere more

Awesome Time for A Game!!! 2/3/2010

Myself and 10 friends went to Paddy Whacks to watch Eagles/Cowboys playoff game. We had a blast and you need to check out the upstairs, we sat downstairs first then realized they had a upstairs. WOW they have a ton of TV's and big screens. We could not have had a better time. Then the Eagles got knocked out of the playoffs. Now we have to wait till next season to watch football at Paddy Whacks. We will definitely be here to watch the Flyers and Phillies play you cannot get a better seat unless you are the game. Overall it was great. Almost forget the Buffalo wings are the best in Philly you must try them. Pros: TV's, TV's, TV's and lots of Hot Girls more

Great Place for a Bachlorette Party 2/3/2010

One of the best nights out with my girlfriends in a long time, the atmosphere was just great. The appetizers were great!!! The staff was great!!! You have to check this place out, period. Pros: Dancing, Music, Drinks Cons: Closed at 2AM more

Great Place for a Party ! 2/3/2010

I booked my husband's 30th birthday at Paddy Whacks and our party was in the upper-level bar. He's a big hockey fan and we were able to watch the Flyers game on a whole bunch of tv's and had ample seating and tables for all our guests. Best of all, we had access to the third floor balcony overlooking the dance floor after the game and it just made for a fun and unique experience for everyone! Pros: Friendly and accommodating waitstaff, tons of space and TV's Cons: Cons: Food was good and reasonably priced, but did not stand more

Great place for parties or night out!! 1/7/2010

I recently just had a party at Paddy Whacks. I actually can't say enough about the establishment. The manager Ryan was so helpful and eager to answer any questions or concerns I may of had. The food was amazing my guests were so impressed on how professional everything was just for a Irish Bar. We had butler hor'dourves, an amazing buffet with many choices, the food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. After the party you never felt rushed like you had to get right out the staff made sure we were well taken care of they helped pack all our gifts up and even helped them to our car. They seriously went over and beyond. If your looking for a place that is going to cater to you every need this is the place for you......... Pros: Great food, great atmosphere more

My New Favorite Spot 1/7/2010

Went to Paddy Whacks with friends after work for dinner and drinks. I was surprised by the food selection. I was expecting the usual bar food. The menu was extensive and food was well prepared. We even had dessert...in a bar...the smores bites were awesome!! Our servers was friendly and quick....the manager, Ryan, stopped by our table to greet us. After dinner, the drinks started. The beer selection was extensive and we ended up staying way later than we expected. It is now one of our regular stops. Can't beat the qualitly and reasonable prices in the city. Pros: Great Food more

Delicious Food, Beautiful Setting, & Great Service 1/6/2010

We were in Philly for the Irish Dancing World Championships (we live in CT and my daughter danced in the competition). We picked up a card in the lobby of the Marriot Downtown Philadelphia and ventured over to Paddy Whacks for an early lunch on a Sat afternoon. With little lunch traffic at the time, we had great service and great pub food. My wife found a new favorite drink - a Black Velvet - Guinness and Champagne. Will most likely return when we're back in Philly (our other daughter goes to Temple University) more

OKAY 5/25/2009

My friends and I come here once in awhile for the happy hour or beer specials. It's usually dead on weeknights but crowded (mainly with younger kids from the burbs or NJ) on weekends. The inside is nice, big, clean but not really ""cozy"". The staff is not all that friendly. They rarely say ""hi"" or even smile or say ""thanks."" If they had a more welcoming staff, I'd go more often. Maybe it's cause they're a chain bar but it doesn't have that friendly, local beer feel. Pros: Good specials Cons: Staff more
