Freemont's Best Dive Bar? 4/22/2010

The PI has been around for a long time, and is a great neighborhood pub. They have a very well stocked bar and a great staff. The food is better than you might expect and great when you consider the price. This isn't so much a place to get foo foo drinks..more of a gin &"" tonic kinda joint. The beer selection tends to be pretty good as well! They clearly make an effort to support local breweries. My favorite thing at the PI is the jukebox! The staff picks the music and they have great taste! Watching Animal Planet with the sometimes surly PI staff is a freakn' blast! Pros: Neighborhood Joint, Good Pub Food, Jukebox Cons: Small Venue more

So dive-y, so delicious 1/19/2010

In a town with plenty of over-hyped fish n chips options, Pacific Inn is almost too good to be true. I don't know what they coat the fish in - some mix of parmesan cheese, spices, and fairy dust - but it will leave you craving it for days. Plus, at $7.99 for a massive helping, it's by far the cheapest version you can find in the greater Seattle area. The fries are nothing revolutionary in terms of style but are fried perfectly golden. I ordered the burger once in a misguided attempt to go off book. It was meh, but that's my fault for straying from the standby. Otherwise, they have a solid selection of beer on tap, a couple flat screen tvs for watching sports and an outdoor patio. OK, so a homeless guy might wander in. OK, so the floor's probably never been cleaned. Just be quiet and munch your fish and use the money you're saving for a second round of beer. Pros: Fish n chips are addictive Cons: A little grimy, a little gruff more

Good food, service like they hate you 1/14/2010

The daystaff is fairly normal but the 2 guys that work nites should really do everybody a favor and move on.\r \r I suspect they can't go anywhere else because nobody\r wants them.\r \r Otherwise why would they stay w/ a job they obviously hate.\r The P.I. has a history of surly, nasty staff\r but they have decent food if you like grease and carbs. Pros: Good fish and chips, parking Cons: Bartenders seem really unhappy, burned out, hungover more

Best Fish n' Chips Ever! 5/4/2009

Best FIsh and Chips I have ever had, and I lived in London for years! It's a small dive bar, but the people are nice, the drinks are strong and the food is good! Pros: Good prices, great people. Cons: Small more

Awesome fish and Chips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2/28/2008

THis place is wonderful. It has the best fish and chips anywhere i have ever tried. Their bar is well stocked and they have great beers on tap. In the summer the deck is perfect. Nothing better than a beautiful summer day with a margarita in hand! You have to go to the Pac Inn it is fantastic!!! Pros: Deck, Jukebox, Tv's. Bartenders Cons: none! more

Here you go darlin 4/17/2006

This place is great. It's a stones throw away from the heart of Freemont and just down the hill from Wallingford. They have an outdoor deck with umbrella tables perfect for those rare but amazing sunny Seattle days. The service is pretty darn good and the food is better. I highly recommend the Pulled BBQ pork sandwhich. It's a great place for lunch or after work drinks. Enjoy! Pros: Food/Drinks, Atmosphere, Value Cons: A little dark, Not alot of room more

This place is a hidden gem. I do not want to write such a great review that it encourages too many people to visit this little hole in the wall because it is perfect the way it is; a no-nonsense bar that serves above average bar food and fabulous drinks. The jukebox does rock, the people there are friendly and fun, the service is good, and it is nice to leave the bright and shiny lights of the new Fremont behind from time to time. Pros: good drinks, good fun, good parking more

Tasty food, good beer, mediocre service 4/11/2005

The Pacific Inn Pub is a great place to relax with some friends while sipping a tasty brew and nibbling on some fish and chips. The fish and chips are sme of the best I've ever had - super flavorful fish batter served with piping hot, crispy fries. SHame that the meal was delivered with a snarl. THe outdoor deck seems like a great place to spend a summer afternoon, and the jukebox has a really great selection of music. Pros: Fish and chips, PBR, Jukebox Cons: Service more

Terrible service, rude waitress 11/2/2003

It is not because it is a dive bar that you have to be treated like the enemy. The waitress during Sunday day shift was very rude, throwing things at your table, arguing and making faces , just horrible. I often got there, but I won't no longer because of her.Good service is very important, anywhere. Don't go there. Pros: location, reasonable price, football on sundays Cons: rude service, smoky, bad service more

A quirky place... 6/28/2003

A great, quirky place for drinks along with fish and chips. While there is a mural blocking the afternoon sun on the deck, still a great place to hang out. more

habitforming 6/21/2003

I found this place a couple of years ago, now I head there for lunch at least once a week to get my fish and chips fix. Always excelent and the portions are enough for two if you aren't starving. Fish and chips is about the batter, and theirs is the most interesting I have found in Seattle. Heavy on the herbs and spices rather than the old beer batter variety, It adds a crunchy coating that with their excelent tarter and crispy fries makes for one of my favorite lunches in the city. Pros: 10 minutes from downt, rarely crowded for lu, a great dive Cons: you won't impress you more
