Excellent doctor!! 2/14/2012

I have been a patient of Dr. Oyler for a while. She has always been very thorough with me. I have had several moles removed by her, and have always received the best of care, not only by her but by each and every nurse I have had! I have recommended her to many people and will continue to do so! Dr. Oyler is a very skilled doctor and very personable. She has always taken the time to answer any questions i have had. I have never had to wait a long period of time to be seen, everyone there, from the front desk, to check out ladies have always been very helpful. I will definitely continue to see her as wells as continue to recommend people to her! more

Dr. Andrus is Great! 7/17/2011

Dr. Andrus is a great doctor! He is thorough and genuinly interested in his patient's concerns. He has an excellent bedside manner and is great with kids. His rates are fair and he offers a discount for self pay patients. The office staff and nurses are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this practice! more

Thank you, Dr. Andrus 6/9/2011

I've been going to Dr. Andrus for over 30 years because he is competent and gives succinct counsel. I appreciate his honesty and integrity, never overstating a treatment's expectations. I highly recommend him. more

Great Docs 1/2/2011

As with any doctor, if you can't tell them what is wrong you can't ask them to help you with it. But these doctors are highly skilled and very very good at seeing things on you may not have even noticed yourself. And once they find it, whether you pointed it out or they saw it for you, they know what it is and how to treat it. more

Never felt so rushed!! 7/27/2010

My family and I are new to Raleigh, and every doctor we try, I'm the guinee pig first. I was taken in the office about half hour late, and pushed in and out within ten minutes. It turned out most of what I went in for was cosmetic concerns, and i was told insurance would not cover any of it, but she didn't suggest any alternatives for me. She was direct, a little cold, and unconcerned. By the time I left, I felt like that was the fastest money I'd ever spent. Although the desk nurses sold me a couple creams that might help, the doctor never mentioned these were for sale there. The creams are working fine, but attacking my condition slowly. Although I am pleased with total result, I will still look for another dermatologist to visit for the rest of my family. Pros: listed to my concerns Cons: very rushed more

Love Dr. Andrus! 4/27/2010

This is the second dermatologist i have been to, and I am so glad that I came here. I am your typical ""I hate my pimples"" patient that was so embarassed of them, I was in tears. The first time I went to a different dermatologist, she was trying to sell me name brands and cosmetic trreatments like lasers, etc. But going to Dr. Andrus, he simplified it down, and gave me MEDICAL treatment, he was very matter of fact without frills, explained everything, and even the medicine he perscribed. For that, I love him. Simply put, he didn't make a mountain out of a mole hill (or in my case, pimple hill.) Pros: knowledgeable, medical advice Cons: talks a little fast more

Dr. Oyler is very respectful and efficient! 3/9/2010

I see Dr. Oyler and absolutely love her. I am struggling with acne and some other skin conditions and she has really been supportive and helpful. She took the time to listen to my hobbies, work, and just day to day living activites and we came up with medicine that works for my lifestyle. I am sorry some people had a bad experience. But I would recommend Dr. Oyler to anyone. Pros: great, caring staff....quick in and out appointments more

Don't recommed this doctor 11/14/2008

I was very displeased with Dr. Oyler. After I told her that I had had melanoma as a 16 year old (I'm 29 now) she said, ""Oh then we don't need to do a body check, you know what they look like!"" Also, I was there about very dry chapped lips I had developed during pregnancy, and told Dr. Oyler I was breastfeeding. She gave me 2 tubes of ointment for my lips and then a prescription of the same medication for after I used the samples. When I went to pic up the prescription, it had a huge red sticker on it that read, ""DO NOT USE IF NURSING OR PREGNANT."" I definitely do not recommend this office. more

Best dermatologist in North Carolina! 5/1/2008

Dr. Andrus and his associates have seen all of my family members. They have the nicest office staff I have seen. Dr Andrus is throrough and quickly diagnosises the issues and begins immediate treatment. Other dermatologists waste a lot of time and patients' money requiting frequent visits, etc. I am both a nurse and the wife of a cardiologist in town. I can assure that Dr. Andrus is the choice of most doctors' families. We always leave the office with a treatment plan and a smile on our faces. This is the happiest group of people I have ever met in a doctor's office. Pros: on time, quick effective treatment, easy access and parking more

Minimal Interaction with Dr 8/2/2007

The support staff was very pleasant including the receptionist and nurse. Dr. Oyler came in and was out within 5 minutes. Although it was my first visit, she asked for no background information or medical questions. The literature I was given about my health concern described that the Dr. should ask detailed questions and complete a thorough exam. I had additional questions, but she was up and out of the door before I could even get the words out. It was a disappointing experience, and I won't go back for a follow-up if needed to this location. Cons: Hurried, Unconcerned more

They keep me glowing. 5/15/2007

I have been visiting A&A for the past 8 months 3X/week and have had nothing but a positive and supportive experience. more

competent and friendly dermatology visit 4/18/2007

Though my wait was 30', Dr. Oyler was very friendly, thorough, and informative. Staff was also very competent and friendly. Would definitely recommend her! Pros: relaxed atmosphere, friendly personnel Cons: 30' wait time more

Find another dermatologist 1/29/2007

Unfortunately I cannot recommend Dr. Andrus to a friend. I had 5 questions for him during my visit. He only spent perhaps 4-5 minutes with me and expressed irritation after I had asked 4 questions saying there had better not be anymore as he only had so much time to spend. I was shocked at his rudeness and lack of care for my situation. Cons: Uncaring and in a rush more

Avoid at all costs 1/8/2007

I would avoid this practice. I have a high risk of skin cancer because of genetics and my own history with skin cancer and their skin checks were always quick. They overlooked a suspicious mole which turned out to be malignant melanoma. The tumor had grown greatly in size and depth and I was lucky it had not spread by the time I pointed it out to them. Had they of noticed it in a previous appointment it wouldn't have been a big deal. I had an invasive surgery which confirmed it had not spread. If they had noticed it before I wouldn't have had to have surgery. more
