Well...this hotel is luxurious and nice, there are WAY too many rules! We got yelled at for absolutly everything. So our stay wasn't much fun... Pros: nice Cons: rules more

Love the room 1/14/2003

We loved staying here! There was a whirlpool in our room which we used immediately. The dinner in America's Harvest was exquisite and the room was spacious. We will be going there again. Pros: Whirlpool, Quiet, Charming Cons: Somewhat pricey more

Better Suited For Business Than Romance 9/12/2002

I chose the Northland Inn for a little get-away for my wife and me based on its truly impressive atrium. Silly me, I shoulda asked to see a room. Not to say they're uncomfortable, but they're certainly NOT romantic. The three-room suite is (in order from the door): Room 1 - hideaway sofa ""romantically"" situated in front of an unimpressive TV; Room 2 - a conference table (yup, that's it); Room 3 - a spartanly appointed bedroom. I'm tellin' ya, there's not much to ""set the mood"". The jaccuzzi tubs are more utilitarian than charming, and the choco-cherries in our ""Romance Package"" were completely inedible. Again, probably great for the business traveler, but not for your inner Don Juan. (I should also mention they screwed up our reservation and charged us for a 3-room suite but put us in a 2-room'er. Still waiting for the refund... 4 years later.) Pros: Nice Atrium Cons: Greasy Room Service, UN-romantic, Reservation Mix-Up more
