Editorial review from Citysearch 6/19/2013

I took my child there to have a flu and strep test. The in office tests were negative but they insisted on sending it to the lab for confirmation. They never called with the results when they said they would so after I repeatedly checked back they said the tests came back negative. When I got the bill it was for over a THOUSAND dollars! The insurance paid the first couple of hundred bucks but I got stuck with the rest.\r \r DO NOT GO TO NEXTCARE!!!!!!\r \r BAD SERVICE.\r \r OUTRAGEOUS PRICES. more

Just like the free clinic -- only worse 7/12/2011

On the 4th of July, the woman at the front desk refused me service even though I have insurance. Later that day I did some research and found out she neither understood my insurance's policy nor her company's policy. Luckily the problem could wait until the next day when I could see my primary care manager. I filed a formal complaint. Go somewhere else if you have a choice. more

Unprofessional, horrible service 7/8/2011

I have never had such horrible medical attention. I took my thirteen year old daughter to the Minute Clinic b/c we suspected a sinus infection. Her heart rate was at 112 so they said it's their policy to refer patients out if their heart rate is over 100. We arrived at NextCare at 7:45 (fifteen minutes before they closed) and we were the only ones there. I apologized for arriving right before closing time. From the start, the woman at the front was rude and arrogant. She cut me off & asked for my id, insurance card and $75 co-pay. We were taken to a room by the nurse who was dressed sloppy and was writing on a piece of notebook paper ripped out of a notebook folded in four pieces?? Weird. Then she took us to another room & it was at that time that the first woman tried to tell me my insurance card was invalid even though I had used it just 10-15 minutes before and they verified it. I asked her to run it again and she said, ""You're asking me to do the same thing twice like it's going to make any difference?"" I told her she was rude & kept cutting me off. The doctor was sitting there listening to the entire thing and never interjected to help. Long story short, I feel she just wanted us to leave b/c I called my corporate office AND BCBS this morning and our insurance is active and my daughter has coverage. I had just come from the gym and I feel I was treated poorly based on the way that I looked. I called and spoke to Betty & then to Nancy, the office manager to let them know I was filing a formal complaint with the BBB and writing a poor review. Both woman were VERY nice and understanding. It's just a shame they aren't the ones that are representing the company in the front of the office. I will never go back there and I will tell everyone I know about the horrible service I received. They would not treat my daughter and now we have to go to her pediatrician this morning for care. I'M ONLY GIVING THEM 1 STAR B/C THE SYSTEM REQUIRES A RATING IN ORDER TO POST A REVIEW. more

Better choices available 4/12/2011

Honestly, this place is rough. Much better urgent cares around. Get a 1 star because Steph is cute. more

avoid nothr raleigh location 2/6/2010

Horrible service. I was very ill and waited 1 hour and 45 minutes before I left. There were 4cars in the lot so I assumed they were not too busy (one person in waiting room). I left before the PA could make it by my room. Felt too bad to hang around 1 more minute. They never communicated that they were running so far behind. I will never go back more

Horrible Service 9/11/2009

I went there & was prescribed a medication that had horrible side effects. I tried calling them to have them switch my medicine but there is no way to get directly in touch with the clinic. You have to leave a message with the answering service & your call will be returned sometime before they close at the end of the day (you hope). I went there personally & I was told that I would have to wait 2 hrs & the only person that could change my medicine was the doctor & there was only one. No nurse. The person at the desk acted disgusted to have to deal with me. I strongly recommend Prompt Med Urgent Care at 7100 Six Forks Road North, Suite 101, Raleigh or 7010 NC Highway 751, Durham, NC. They call you to check on you the next day, you can get directly in touch with someone any time & their staff is much more professional, friendly and helpful. Cons: Read below more

long wait 1/6/2008

I called before driving there and was urged to register on line shorten wait time. I did register on line from home but once at the office I was told that this preregistration would not make a difference in wait time and they could not tell me how long it might be. After waiting for 45 minutes I decided to try another urgent care since there were still 6 patients in front of me. This office could not refund my money since it was a Sunday. I will definitely persue a refund through their office. I will definitely not return. Cons: The staff did not attempt to be friendly and the wait time was excrutiating. more
