Movies At North Hills

I really like this theater. The parking is great: covered and well-lit, plus I see security all the time. The majority of the walk from the deck escalator to the front door is covered if you duck under the canopies of the other stores. There are a dozen or so restaurants to eat at before or after the movie. They just got a frequent movie goer swipe card that lets you get a free small popcorn on Tuesday every week, plus you get points for each dollar you spend and the points add up to free movies, drinks, etc. I personally think the popcorn is great because it is popped fresh every couple of hours (the other chains pop theirs every few days or once a week and bag it), they let you put your own butter on (as much as you want), and they have free popcorn seasonings such as Cheddar and Ranch. I too was disappointed that there were no booster seats, however I was in there the other day and saw a rack of about 10. The ticket taker said they got them about a month ago. All in all I love visiting this theater and the North Hills shopping center. more

Parking is so small it's dangerous, and the speed bumps will rattle your teeth. Movies are typically overpriced for local chains. Concessions are not very good, and still overpriced. Still the worst popcorn in Raleigh - Even the $1.50 theatre is better. Sound/lights are ok, but nothing to write home about. Screens are small, but big enough for the small rooms. more

The Movies at North Hills offers a very pleasant experience. It is very clean, well kept and has easy parking at the North Hills Garage. It features stadium seating, and well-cushioned seats. The only downside we found was that they did not offer bosster seats for smaller children. more

I recently saw a movie for the first time here in the afternoon. What amazed me the most was how many people they had so early in the day. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. They have a main concession stand for when you walk in and some off to the side, making the lines very short. The seats were also very comfortable while watching the movie. Clean restrooms too! I would definitely go back. more
