We are also going through the building and trying to pull the small repairs back to like new condition. We have added a lot of neat things that you wont find at other multiplexes. We serve a wide range of beer starting at $3.00 and serve Orville Redenbacher popcorn. Along with vitamin water, alternative baking company cookies and lots more! The Rialto is one of the only movie theaters in Raleigh that shows limited release, independent, and controversial movies. They have the typical movie food, but also a small bar that serves alcohol. Every Friday night at midnight they host the chaos that comes with a Rocky Horror Picture Show showing, which is a unique experience unto itself. The Burning Coal Theatre Company, a non-profit theatre company that does a wide variety of interactive plays, is based out of the Rialto. Some of the best movies I have seen in the past year have been at The Rialto. Unlike some other smaller theaters, they have Dolby Surround Sound and every seat in the house has a good view of the screen.

Blue Ridge 14 is a staple of cheap entertainment in this area of Raleigh. Having a second-run movie theater is awesome enough, but to have so many different screens is really extraordinary. With the number of selections at "the buck-fifty", as my friends affectionately call it, you can effectively just let yourself be three or four months behind on all your movies and still go to the movies *all the time*. On weekends, you may want to stop by ahead of time and buy your tickets. Notice that all the shows start in clumps at certain times - go in the off time and buy your tickets to avoid the long lines (or having to go kill 2 hours in KMart because the showings you wanted are all sold out). Parking can be quite a pain - be careful, some places nearby have been known to tow!
The only downside: no ATM cards accepted (at least without a huge fee), and expensive concessions (buy Jr. mints at KMart or Food Lion and put them in your purse).

raleighwood combines the night out of dinner and and a movie into dinner AT a movie. Raleighwood is a theater that shows older movies (the type taht would have hit the $2) and also serves a meal. you can get hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, and beer all delivered to your table by waitstaff. t can make for a fun nigth out on the town. the food is way expensive, but you are at the movies after all, what do you expect?

I am particuarly fond of drinking coffee. One of the best features of this theater is my opinion is the ability to bring in a cup of coffee from the cup of joe next door. They won't allow in any otehr outside food and drink but for sonmereason they allow this coffee which makes me a happy movie patron. The theater itself is nothing special, but not as croweded as larger multi-plex's on the weekends.

I love going to see movies at the Imax. recently they ahve been getting blockbuster movies like harry potter and charlie and the chocolate factory. Tickets are expensive for rasleigh (around $10) but its worth it to see things on the really really big screen. the staff is nice and the theater is always clean. A wonderful experince everyone should have at least once!

Blue Ridge 14 Cinema is located at 600 Blue Ridge Rd
in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is a very nice place to go for a night out. Movies only cost $1.50 all the time, and that is great for the budget conscious person or for the person who just wants to watch a certain movie. You do have to wait a couple of months for the movies to arrive at this theatre, but it's well worth it. It's a nice theatre, clean and neat. They do sell out on weekends, so it's best to go here during the weekday night. I like to go on Thursday nights for some reason. I recommend this place at four stars.

I really like this theater. The parking is great: covered and well-lit, plus I see security all the time. The majority of the walk from the deck escalator to the front door is covered if you duck under the canopies of the other stores. There are a dozen or so restaurants to eat at before or after the movie.
They just got a frequent movie goer swipe card that lets you get a free small popcorn on Tuesday every week, plus you get points for each dollar you spend and the points add up to free movies, drinks, etc. I personally think the popcorn is great because it is popped fresh every couple of hours (the other chains pop theirs every few days or once a week and bag it), they let you put your own butter on (as much as you want), and they have free popcorn seasonings such as Cheddar and Ranch.
I too was disappointed that there were no booster seats, however I was in there the other day and saw a rack of about 10. The ticket taker said they got them about a month ago.
All in all I love visiting this theater and the North Hills shopping center.

I enjoy the art house type theaters without the stadium seats and ten theaters. No teenagers lumbering outside yelling and chattering incessantly on their cellphones. This is art house and independent film viewing.
