Going to the mechanic is about as much fun as having one's prostate examined. The irony of the central role of lube for both is not lost on me. To say that I'm skeptical of mechanics is an understatement. I EXPECT the worst from them, but I'm very pleased to say I received the very best from Montrose Tire & Auto. I needed coolant and an oil change, a simple need, but for the automotively illiterate such as myself it was as confusing as Mandarin (I've never studied Mandarin). I needed my vehicle right away, so I decided to have them add coolant, and come back later for the oil change. They added the coolant, and told me it was on the house, saying that it wasn't much coolant (they completely refilled my coolant), and saying hardly any labor was involved, and just to come back when I needed something! They also checked my oil level and added a little oil since I was very low on oil. All in all, the visit cost me $20, and the universally poor view I held of mechanics. Also, I am contempla
