I took my car in strictly for a routine spark plug change, no previous issue found. After bringing my vehicle home, on the way home the ENGINE LIGHT came on, right after I brought my car back from getting the spark plugs changed. The dealer does not accept responsibility. I took the vehicle back and they found a PCM malfunction. The service manager claims this is due to PCM malfunction, which was NOT A PROBLEM when I took the car in initially. They informed me about bulletin TSB 01-050/10 (basically claiming no responsibility for their shoddy work) and asked me to contact Mazda. They claim this problem has nothing to do with the work they performed on the vehicle. I am positive the problem has been caused by the dealer working on my car. Either they didn't put things together correctly, or something in their work has clearly caused this malfunction. There is absolutely no way a routine spark plug change would have caused this - it was SOMETHING the mechanic or dealer did to my vehicle. There were no indication of any problems before they worked on it (I have my own diagnostics detector for vehicles), and I have a clean report before taking it in, and now there is this problem. I was warned by the service advisor initially that if I get this done by non-Mazda shops there is a chance the ENGINE LIGHT can come on. So, I took their advice and let THEM work on my car, paying BIG BUCKS TO FIX IT, and now they are trying to pass the blame on to me - which is absolutely insane and unethical. This is a very expensive item to replace, and I can not afford the cost. I STRONGLY SUGGEST you go to an HONEST MECHANIC not the dealer if you ever need any work done to your Mazda. Basically, they will not ever take the blame for their shoddy work or bad service. I called the service manager today at 11:00am and he hasn't bothered to call me back yet. You'll be put on the back burner and they will never take blame for anything they do CLEARLY WRONG. In addition, apparently a lot of mechanics screw up here because they post bulletins to cover their asses when they know they've messed something up on your car they point to a sign like a zombie, rather than trying to assist you personally and fix the problem they created. I called the service manager AND the service advisor who worked on my car yesterday and today again and no one will send me a receipt for the work performed or answer my calls. I need to have my car fixed and am unable to without this paperwork and need this as proof that I went in for a routine spark plug change and now the check engine light is coming on. more

We were specifically looking to buy a used Mazda and had first gone to Roger Beasley South on Burnet Road. After we test drove and picked a care we liked, we were told we weren't going to get a better loan anywhere else with my credit rating (my credit wasn't poor but wasn't outstanding either at that time) so we should just take what they offered because we really had no options. We left and went straight to Mazda South. As soon as we walked on the Mazda South lot, we were treated like gold. Our needs were heard and responded to and we got a much better deal and loan rate than Roger Beasley on Burnet Road offered. As we were leaving the building after writing up the deal, the finance rep ran after us saying he had gotten an even better loan for us than the one we discussed and wanted us to sign off on this one. He didn't have to do that. He could have left it the way it was! We left the lot that day with an awesome car and having had a great experience! Highly recommended! Pros: Friendly staff focused on your needs Cons: Long waits for car service more
