Best

This is the place for everybody to have a good time. I was just there 2 weeks ago, met my oldest son and his 4-year-old son there for the weekend. Did the aquarium, Legoland, an...

Worst

Too Big. Too many of the stores are owned by the same tentants. A great place to visit, but I wouldn't want it to be the mall I go to for everything.

SHOP TILL YOU DROP 8/8/2002

I LOVE THE VARIETY. I ALWAYS FIND WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR. more

Everything is here! 7/29/2002

Everything is here! Come see it all, have a meal, SHOP! Pros: HUGE!, VARIETY!, UNIQUE! Cons: Size., Full price for goods. more

Da bomb! 7/27/2002

It is a great place to go when there is nothing else to do, or just to catch a movie or get something to eat. The latest clothing is also a positive draw. Pros: restaurants, stores, movie theater Cons: crowded, cost, teens more

pashmina186 7/26/2002

Great Shopping!! There is also many excellent restaurants to choose from. more

Something for everyone! 7/24/2002

Something for everyone! Something for all ages, styles and budgets. Shopping, dining, and entertainment. It's a must. more

The MOA is Great! 7/22/2002

I really enjoy the Mall of America, it is really nice to have a place like that only 15 minutes from my home. It is a great place to shop, go to a cool bar/restuarant, or meet up with friends. The location is great and easy to get too, and there is always free parking. I go a few times a month. more

HUGE!!!!!!!! 7/19/2002

It's fun stuff is inexpensive-and you can get a hell of a workout finding what you want and/need Pros: reasonable prices, bars, find anything Cons: crowds, full parking, noisy more

Mall of America rating 7/19/2002

Mall is overly priced, rides are high w/o coupons. It's nice to have a place like this to explore and show off, and support MN!! Expand the Mall so it's not so over crowed. Think of the people who live here, why do we have to pay for such higher prices? Pros: good food Cons: rides expensive, over priced mall, crowed more

7.5 7/19/2002

I disagree because the only reason it is so big si because the stores are duplicated. Two of everything does not increase the shopping "experience" more

...nice place to visit but... 7/16/2002

Too Big. Too many of the stores are owned by the same tentants. A great place to visit, but I wouldn't want it to be the mall I go to for everything. more

Huge Mall!!! 7/10/2002

This is the place to be anytime - Wether you go to to the underwater Aquarium or to the movies at night with some friends or maybe go with the kids to Camp Snoopy - This place has it all!!! more

Ultimate shopping spree 7/9/2002

If you enjoy crowds and shopping, you will love this mall. I thought the food and attractions were over priced, but you kind of expect that, so it wasn't a surprise. Not a lot of unique stores here, but every store you've ever seen in a mall is here under one roof. more

Well, It's a Mall Allright 7/8/2002

With the exception of the Indoor Camp Snoopy (which is overpriced) and the Rainforest Cafe, there is nothing very exciting here. The vast majority of the stores are part of national chain stores seen routinely in malls across america. They are larger, but usually do not contain anything unique that you can't find at most malls in america. So if visiting the mother lode of all malls is your goal, this is the place for you. If you want to see something unique and unusual, look elsewhere. Pros: Free Parking, Clean, Safe Cons: Crowded, Overpriced, Boring more

not for little kids 6/8/2002

Its fun, but not good for little kids. Stupid people bring strollers and think that they can get thru the HUGE crowds! DONT BRING those double strollers! its good for kids that can walk a lot and not complain about achey feet. mostly shopping, good food, and fun rides. Pros: lots of stores, good food, fun rides Cons: crowded, bad parking, long lines more

tourist pitstop 5/29/2002

No one I know who lives in Minneapolis actually goes to the Mall of America. Tourists and travelers with extended layovers at the airport make up the bulk of the customers. If you go, prepare to walk...a lot...The place is huge. If you plan on buying several items, plan on renting a storage locker (fairly inexpensive). It's much more convenient than toting your bags all over the mall. more

Not just shops 5/29/2002

This place has lots to offer in addition to tons of stores. It has a whole amusement park right in the middle with rides, games, etc. They also have alot of events, like they recently had the premier for Ice Age, etc. I think it's the other stuff that make it worth the trip, not just the stores (although they're pretty good too). Pros: good parking, lots to do more

  • In Short
This cement-and-plastic Bloomington behemoth is the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the United States. At 4.2-million square feet, it's home to more than 500 stores, 60 eateries, a 14-screen movie theater, an indoor amusement park and an aquarium. The mall is anchored by Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Nordstrom and Sears, but also includes local finds and a wedding chapel. Notable restaurants include the Rainforest Cafe and Tucci Bennuch, as well as plenty of fast food.
