I am a client of Dawn's. I've had about five cuts and they are always a success. I was not blessed with terrific hair so I need help. It is straight, fine and hard to style. The cuts I get here are consistent and I can style them at home. She highlighted my hair once and it looked fantastic. I decided to try this salon based on the reviews and opinions posted here. What a mistake! First of all, I visited the website for Luxe and read all the reviews and awards they had won. I was impressed and thought this would be a great salon. So, off I go for my first appointment and I arrived on time but when I checked in I waited over 20min!!!! Not a good start....When I finally saw the stylist he was in a ""grumpy"" mood and was totally rude!! I could not believe that! I understand we all have bad days but our mood can not be taken out on clients. I felt rushed, upset, and my whole salon experience was a big waste of time and money. I spent over a hunderd dollars and left there feeling my hair color was not what I really wanted or paid for. Also, I had taken in several pictures of the color I wanted and believe me it wasn't even close. I could have done better out of a box and saved myself alot of time and money! This place is the perfect mix of upscale hip and yet totally relaxed and welcoming. My stylist, Jessica, was awesome. She listened to what I wanted to do with my hair, offered excellent suggestions and tips, and did a fantastic job. I would recommend this place to anyone...men and women alike. I recently went to Luxe Salon after reading the reviews on your site and was very impressed! I loved the space and energy, and my stylist did a great job! I went to Lisa and she really took the time to listed to what I wanted and provided her own feedback and advice. I needed a stylist change and a friend recommended the Luxe salon. Sasha is a wonderful stylist. She not only listens to what I want, she offers her expert advice and always has me walking out of there feeling wonderful. I also like how she spends time showing me how to style my new haircut. I love the atmosphere and location of Luxe and have recommended it to many friends (all are very satisfied). She is a great stylist and is also is very good with eye brows!!! I heard about Luxe from a girlfriend of mine who was always trying to get me to leave my stylists and try someone new. When I called Luxe I was treated so pleasantly and making an appointment was fairly easy. I was used to feeling a bit out of place at my salon, with the air of ""snottiness"", Luxe Salon was friendly and comfortable from the second I walked in. I have been going to Luxe for a few years now. I was already extremely pleased with the experience and results. In the past six months, the atmosphere has changed to a factory atmosphere. My last visit, I arrived on time and was told the stylist was running a little late...15 minutes. I waited patiently, when the stylist finally began to work on my hair, her assistant walked over and said, ""you have 30 minutes."" I pay A LOT OF MONEY to get my hair cut and colored at Luxe. I shouldn't get a hurried hair cut, just because she was running late with her last client...unless, of course, they are going to charge less. I've been going to Luxe Salon, specifically Dawn, for almost three years now, and I've been thrilled with the quality of service and the attention to detail I've received since becoming a loyal client. In fact, I've recently moved to the suburbs, but I still make the drive downtown. It's worth it! Everyone at the salon is very friendly, and they are ready and willing to work with ideas you may have of your own or give you a little creative guidance if you're lacking imagination--a perfect balance in my opinion! I took my bridal party to Luxe, and everyone at our wedding kept commenting on how classy and sophisticated our hair looked. I moved from L.A. last month and was recommended to Luxe by my salon in L.A. I was leery of trying a salon in Denver, I didn't think they could be as progressive and skilled as my gal. I have just recently gone to LUXE salon. My experience was the best i have ever had in Denver. The staff was extremely professional from the front desk to the apprentices. My hair looked awesome. Ive been to every salon in Lodo, and Ive finally found ""The One"". Jody is the most professional and gifted hairdresser I have ever been to. It's important to get someone who is a true pro. Luxe is full of pros and they care about the client. You won't walk away feeling tense. You are their focus during your appointment. I have been to this salon twice and really liked it a lot. The only drawbacks were the price--very high and having to wait 10 minutes or more each time just to get to a sink. The stylist's assistants were very friendly and attentive. I got a fantastic haircut--the stylist really knew what he was doing and was very friendly. I will definitely keep coming back even though the prices are steep--you get what you pay for. more
