Ok... I just want everyone to know I am not a picky person, I have gone to MANY salons that were 40 dollars for a hair cut and color and was perfectly fine with the service and lo...

Luna Salon is the best because of Glenn! I come from NJ to get my haircut and color by Glenn. He is the bests hairdresser I have ever had and is the only one that I will let cut and color my hair. Luna Salon is the cleanest Salon I have ever been in. I recommend Luna Salon because of the results, environment and friendliness of all the employees. I can't wait for my next haircut and color, Glenn! I found Luna on Citysearch when I was in search of a hairdresser that would listen to me and would also know the latest techniques and trends. Quite simply: Luna is the BEST. I go to Cecily & she's awesome. Great cut, FABULOUS color & highlights. I cannot say enough great things about Luna. Very relaxed atmosphere - but make no mistake - these stylists have talent. Go! Luna and Mae are great! 4/1/2007

I found Luna on CitySearch, and I liked what I read about Mae. It was true! Her year at Vidal Sasson in London has given her excellent hair cutting skills - as well as the ability to create a contemporary look that's great for looking professional at work and cool on the weekends. I haven't had such an expert cut in a while (which is why I was looking for someone new). And I haven't even mentioned what a great job she did with coloring my hair. It's warm, glistening - what more can you ask for? Luna looks great in its new digs - I used to go there a few years back and it's expanded to a beautiful new space. Staff was friendly at the welcome desk - with none of the snootiness you find in some hair salons. And I love the Bumble and Bumble products - I have course hair and it feels so soft I cannot believe it. It felt relaxed and lovely to be there. Sipping water scented with fresh lemon, I felt like - you can go home again. Pros: it's all pro more

Thers's a new girl in town 3/14/2007

I went to Luna for the first time and Mae colored, cut and styled my hair. She is new to the salon but very skilled. She trained in London at Vidal Sassoon and it shows. She cut my hair with a precision I've rarely experienced. She also listened to my wants and needs and she was really easy going. I love the style and my husband says ""it's the prettiest cut I've ever had"". The salon itself is beautiful, comfortable and most importantly, CLEAN! I'll definitely be going back. more

Great cut and blow-out 2/10/2007

Cecily is wonderful! You can tell she really enjoys what she does and takes a lot of pride in making her clients happy. Luna is a Bumble & bumble salon, but there is no pressure to ""up-sell"" you (although they do have a nice array of B&b stuff for those who want to buy). I went on a Saturday morning and the place was reeeeeally chill. I expect it's busier at other times, but the space is relaxing and has a nice open feel to it. I can't imagine it ever feeling annoyingly crowded. It's also devoid of that chemically smell that a lot of salons have. The prices are very fair too. I will definitely return! No pressure, non- pretentious, friendly, professional salon 10/29/2006

Glenn cut my hair and I was so happy with the results! I have been to a number of highly recommended salons in the city trying to find a salon I could stick with. This will be my favorite salon! Glenn understood what I was looking for (I bring photos of haircuts to show what it is I want; don't want to every salon visit) and cut my hair exactly as I wanted. The other salons, even with the pictures, did not. He writes down the products that he uses in your hair (they are a Bumble & Bumble salon), but there is no pressure to purchase them. The salon is also in a gorgeous new space which just made the visit even better. The staff were extremely friendly and personable and made you feel comfortable. I recommend this salon to everyone! Awesome haircut and wonderful staff! 10/4/2006

I went to Luna for the first time today and was very, very pleased. Everyone there was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. The decor is cool--the salon is stylish and trendy, and it gets even better when you find that no one is stuffy what-so-ever (which is typically the case in places like that). The atmosphere is extremely relaxing and every is very personable . I usually panic when getting my hair cut--the stylist usually makes it too short or just plain doesn't make it look good--but not here. Lori cut my and did an awesome job. She did exactly what I wanted (even though i wasn't quite sure what i wanted at the time!). Love it, love them, highly recomend it. Pros: service, ambience, skill more

Great Haircut and Eyebrows! 9/14/2006

I recently moved to the area and have been searching for a salon - Luna is definitely the one! Kelly cut my hair and did an amazing cut and style and was very friendly... WELL WORTH THE VISIT TO DOWNTOWN PHILA! 1/21/2006

My spouse and I both go out of our way to travel from a Phila suburb into center city to get our hair done at Luna. It is well worth the distance. From the moment you walk in, the polite staff treat you like you own the place. They offer you a beverage, a place to relax...etc. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and no matter what you were doing before you arrived, the superb interior design, the cool music, and the people at Luna definitely help you wind down. When you get your hair done, the stylist will pay attention to the most minute detail, they'll use the best products, and you'll never feel like they are rushing you out just to get to the next appointment. A wonderful find on Walnut Street 1/20/2006

Having lived in Center City for a decade now and typically getting my hair cut on Rittenhouse square, I discovered Luna while walking down Walnut the other day. In need of a haircut and drawn in by the cool ethereal look of the salon, I walked in and was immediately attended to. The atmosphere of the salon is as elegant as it is relaxed and hip. No blaring music or attitude here. My hair was cut by Glenn and I couldn't be happier with the end result. It was relaxing and not rushed. This being my first time here, all my concerns were addressed. In the future I will always take the walk down Walnut to Luna. A VERY POOR EXCUSE FOR A SALON/SPA 1/4/2006

We had a very bad time here. The stylist did an awful job on my sisters hair and their idea of a massage was a joke. We cancelled the appointment with the woman doing facials after seeing her work. Cons: very bad place, loud and smells bad more

Fabulous Talent! 11/17/2005

I adore Luna. Glen usually cuts & colors my hair and does a wonderful job! This past week Glen was all booked (because he's so great) so I scheduled with Katie instead. My hair is really fine, curly, and just difficult. And I wanted a short hair cut so I was a tad nervous. However, Katie calmed my nerves right away by making sure she knew what I wanted before going forward. The result - a phenomenal haircut that has gotten tons of comments! It's such a cute cut and she was so fun and cheery. This place is a gem! It's not cheap but it's well worth it. Especially, for people like myself who have difficult hair. THANKS LUNA! Best Salon in Philly! Katie is top-notch! 10/16/2005

Went to Luna after seeing such great reviews on Citysearch which ended up to be right- this salon is by far the best one I've seen in my 4 years of living in Philly. Katie is a genius with so much talent. Although not cheap, for the price it's a value compared to other places. Great haircut! 7/25/2005

Both Katie and Jill cut my hair and I think they both did a fantastic job. They both were extremely friendly and did just what I wanted to my hair. The only downside is products- I use salon products only on my hair but they carry mostly Bumble and Bumble-which is much pricier than others. If you want to spend less than $100 on a cut and product, by a different product somewhere else. A small bottle of serum about the size of my finger was $20.00! Not much of a product selection.
