When I lived and worked in Raleigh, this was the perfect spot to go and unwind in the quiet of the afternoon- flowers were being gently watered, fountains were sparkling in the sun, and the staff were there if I needed them, but left me to wander in peace if I wished. Now that I live away, I still travel to Raleigh JUST to make the trip to Logan's-a lush garden hidden in the middle of the city. The plants are always healthy, often not found elsewhere, and the staff incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Stop in for lunch at the Seaboard Cafe-even waiting in the always present line is pleasant when surrounded by plants and fountains, and the food is excellent! Eat amidst the herbs and watch the birds as they nest and feed nearby, then wander through the gardens and fountains and planters to your hearts content. Nowhere else on earth is quite like it!
Pros: excellent stock and knowledgeable staff
Cons: you'll never want to leave
