DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I've eaten at Key's on Lexington Avenue twice. The first time I ordered meatloaf. It was full of filler, tasteless and the absolute worst meatloaf I've ever had. The second and LAST time was today. I ordered a buttermilk pancake with blueberries and sausage patties. The pancake arrived with a handful of blueberries thrown on top. I've ordered many a blueberry pancake before at other restaurants and usually the blueberries arrive warm and like a sauce. These cold blueberries just rolled off. The pancake was very thin especially around the edge and lacked any flavor whatsoever. The only thing edible was the sausage. My price for this horrible breakfast - $5.95 for the pancake, $2.95 for the blueberries and $2.25 for the sausage for a total of $11.15. I was actually overcharged for the pancake. It should have been $4.00. OVERPRICED and TERRIBLE food. more

LOVE IT! 7/10/2009

Although I dined when there was about 8 max other people in the whole restaurant, I ordered Eggs Benedict. Not only was it DELICIOUS (and i have high standard for eggs benny) but it literally came out in 3 minutes!!!! And the quality was suberb! My server was Mel and she was great, it seemed the staff had a sense of urgency and knowledge which is what makes a good restaurant. I've heard great things about Keys Cafe and I finally got to try it out myself and will help spread the word that this place is great! Decor is nice, seating is comfortable, its just a wonderful place to take anyone for a meal. Plus they serve breakfast all day!!!! Pros: fast fast service, good food, nice staff more

Simply The Best 4/15/2008

Keys is simply the best. The breakfasts. the omelettes. the burgers, the homeade soups, the desserts. You simply cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The downtown location on 9th and Marquette in the revamped Foshay tower is my favorite location. The newest, shiniest and best servers. The win best breakfast every year running. No wonder why! Pros: Location, Locale, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner more

A Bit Overrated 2/9/2008

Key's has decent food, but it is a bit overrated and somewhat overpriced. You do get huge servings, but the quality is hit-or-miss. Pros: Huge Servings Cons: Poor service more

Great breakfast 10/14/2006

In my opinion, Keys serves the best eggs benedict in town. Cinnamon roll was tasty and huge -- easily split by our party of three. Great service and atmosphere too. We will definitely go again. more

Overrated! 8/2/2006

Keys is so overrated. It is not even close to being the beast breakfast in the Cities. I would go to Al's, SunnySide Up, Egg & I, Sweet Lorraine's, or Our Kitchen way before Keys. The Keys in St. Paul is small and the service is almost always bad. It seems like they hired waitresses who hate to get out of bed and hate breakfast even more. The last few times I have gone have been worse than the time before, so I am afraid to go again, and in fact, the only way I am going is if I am forced. However, I do like all the autographed pictures on the wall. Pros: Autographed pictures Cons: Food, prices, services more

Homestyle good eats! 7/27/2006

Keys has amazing food in HUGE portions. I could live off the Farmers Omlet alone. It's way too much for one sitting, but it makes and excellent breakfast AND lunch! and they have by far the BEST Chicken Ceasar Salad in town. I would definitely reccommend this to anyone looking for a good, inexpensive, home cooked meal! Pros: everything more

One of our all-time favorites! 2/17/2004

Yes, the portions are huge (I think the banana-pecan pancake falls over the side of the large plate!), but the food is just as delicious as it is generously served. Good coffee, too. It's fun to walk over from the Radisson on deserted Sunday morning streets for a great breakfast at Keys Cafe. Pros: Good, good Food, Nice prices, Lots to eat! Cons: , Kinda small more

Keys is the Place! 2/10/2004

Breakfast 2/8/2004. An independent effort downtown that uses good quality and large portions as its backbone. While the rest of the downtown area sleeps on a Sunday morning Keys quickly fills up and caters to those who are in the know. Highly recommended. Pros: Mammoth portions, Home Style Feel more
