We had a really good experience with Rob. First and for most, he showed up on time. I've wasted so much of my time waiting for contractors who don't even bother to call you and say they are going to be late. We thought he and his crew was nice and friendly, did a good job, did it on time and the price was right. We definitely recommend him and would hire him again. Way to go Rob! more

My experience with Joe Hardwood Floors was excellent, I recently moved to Houston from Chicago and bought a Townhouse. It already had hardwood on the first floor so we wanted it on the second floor, the first floor had cupping from water damage so we needed to get that replaced too. Rob is the guy you need to talk to, he was helpful and professional. I shopped around and a competitor tried to sell me composite hardwood which is not high quality SOLID 3/4 inch hardwood. Glad I went with Rob - we did 5"" red oak planks with chestnut stain. Excellent wood quality - no knots or imperfections in the wood. The completed job was gorgeous, beautiful, his installation team gets an A+. They paid great attention to detail like where the floor meets the tile - it met perfectly flush with a nice trim piece on top. They trimmed out everything with matching quarter-round moulding. Also for the damaged floor they had to splice in the new planks - these guys knew what they were doing to have the experience to do this type of repair. Came out perfect - no way to tell what was repaired. The price was great and the job was done fast and on the schedule Rob gave me. The floors were definitely worth every penny and enhanced the value of my place. more

This is a great floor company. We wanted solid wood floors to match ones that were already in the home. We had a unique situation since the slab was raised in the living room. Rob found a solution that was creative, practical, and it turned out beautiful. I was really picky about finding the right color stain. After 9 samples on the floor I still needed more so his guys came back out to oblige my decorator diva needs, and they were happy to do it. The workers know their stuff and are in my opinion tops at what they do. Our floors are truly custom wood floors and have transformed the space. After the job was finished I decided I wanted a different transition on the fireplace so Rob was kind enough to send a crew out to make it so. Their prices are good too! This is the second time we have had floors put in a home and it is worth every penny to have true professionals at work. more

Joe Hardwood Floors is the only quote you need to get! I had them install my dining room, living room, bar and foyer in 2006 and was SO happy! We made the mistake of putting carpet in our master bedroom at that time (just to save $) and wished we had put hard woods everywhere. Today, June 2011, Joe Hardwood Floors is back to do what we should have done 5 yrs ago! Hallway and master bedroom. We are so pleased with all of the workers and of course the quality of the flooring (4 dogs and no scratches!). The guys are clean and meticulous with their work! Called the company based on the reviews I read here on City Search and wow you all are right! Inquired on getting wood floors refinished. After talking to Rob I'm convinced there are still honest people out there. He asked several questions and told me I didn't need to get my floors refinished just cleaned. Then he suggested a cleaner to use and where I could buy it. When I change my flooring, this is the guy I will use. Rob was pleasant, knowledgable, and honest. Thanks Rob, you're a jewel. more

If you need your hardwood floors done or repaired you have to call and talk to Rob at Joes Hardwood Floors. My daughter had a catastrophy with a stain her rabbit left on her hardwood floors. Rob was so nice and gave us a quote right over the phone. He was very familiar with Houston area and knew what our floors were like and the age. Jeraldo and his crew were excellent and showed up right on time and repaired the floor planks and refinished the floor, it looked awesome. We recently had some problems with our flooring and had Rob out to take a look. Unfortunately for us we needed new flooring. Rob gave us some options on what flooring he recommended and after comparing prices we realized his new floor prices were the best we were going to find. Ron's crew worked over the weekend, and had the fllors looking like a new floors that we could walk on by our Monday morning move-in. I happened to read the other reviews before submitting mine, and I must say they've all nailed it! Rob, the owner of Joe Hardwood Floors, writes up a detailed estimate (breakdown of each facet of the job) on the spot. He adheres to the schedule that he promises, as well as to his estimate. My refinishing project involved taking out some water-stained boards and installing new boards in tight spaces (I had leftover boards from the initial installation). They did that to perfection, without marring any of the adjacent boards. They also sealed some loose boards with epoxy injections, which they later covered with putty that makes the dark spots invisible. Because my flooring is very light in color, it required extra attention to every single particle of dirt that inadvertently landed on it during the polyurethening process (2 coats). Rob and his crew of two made sure that every last dirt fleck disappeared like magic (there weren't many, but they tended to be in obvious places). They also did a great job installing new shoe molding, which looks very attractive (the old molding, put on by a different company, was the wrong wood!) Based on all they did, and the beautiful sheen that makes my floor look like new (even better than the old floor when it was new!), I give Joe Hardwood Floors an A+ rating. I would highly recommend the company under current ownership and with the current crew to anyone who asks. Pros: They do everything right. more

Our hardwood floors needed refinishing badly. They were scarred, scratched and dented from the previous occupants and when we bought the home we knew that we wanted them refinished. But, the movers were coming within 4 days to deliver the furniture. We were referred to Joe Hardwood Floors by the realtor who handled the sell side of our real estate transaction. We called and met with the Rob of Joe Hardwood Floors. He worked his schedule to accomodate the urgency of our situation and still allow time for the urathane finish to harden before the furniture was delivered and put in our home. We could'nt have been happier with the results especially considering the time we gave him to complete the job. His fee was more than fair and the floors were beautiful when the crew was finished. It looked like a completely different home - much nicer! Rob is a real pleasant guy to deal with and you can tell he is concerned about his customers satisfaction and the reputation of his company. We contacted Rob Navon in June 2008 for an estimate to refinish our floors in a historic home in Galveston. He came, he saw, he gave us an estimate and we signed up. Rob's crew did a superb job on the red pine hardwood floors in the house and even though we were not in the house during the transformation, the neighbors were complimentary of the work ethic of the crew. The floors are so beautiful we had second thoughts about putting area rugs and furnishings in the house; fortunately that moment passed and we have a lovely home enriched by the job performed on budget and schedule by Joe Hardwood Floors. Joe Hardwood (Rob Navon) just installed approximately 1000 sq feet of fwood loors in our recently purchased home. Joe Hardwood's was not the cheapest bid, but the only one that addressed the severe dips and slopes in the subfloor and the only one that recommended a moisture barrier and included line item expenses for the entire job. Rob and his crew' clearly know what they are doing and they do it well. They showed up when they said they would and finished when they promised (even though it required them working till after 10 through the weekend nights to make our move-in date). I highly recommend Joe Hardwood Floors. I used them for the first time about 5 years ago to refinish the floors in my bedrooms and was very happy with the outcome. I used them again about 2 years ago to refinish the floors in my living room, and due to the damp weather, the finish came out not to my satisfaction. However, when I expressed my dissatisfaction to Joe Hardwood, they immediately redid the job. This impressed me very much. I also just recently purchased another home and had Joe Hardwood Floors install all new 5"" hardwoods in about 2,000 square feet of the house. We were in a time crunch to get in the house and Rob had two crews working for multiple days to ensure that we would get the floors installed and finished before we had to move in.
