This is an Indian restaurant like no other. The dishes are perfect for sharing and it is better this way anyway so as to sample all of the great flavors. Everything is on the menu is great, although I am partial to the sharma and the peanut salad. Ethnic food invariably invites the question, ""Is it authentic?"" I frankly don't care if any ethnic food is 'authentic,' and from a country as large as India, there are bound to be many types of 'authentic' cuisine. What I care about is the quality of service, the flavor of the food, value for price, whether or not I can get decent adult beverage, and can I hear myself think over the music. Indish gives me everything that is important! The waitstaff is friendly and efficient; the menu is vegan-friendly and varied, so I can get a nutritious meal and so can my non-vegan friends; the chef is talented, so everything I order tastes delicious; the prices are reasonable for the portions delivered; the music is exceptional and the bar is beautiful! Raj is always experimenting with new cocktail recipes and he keeps a supply of beer on hand that is splendid indeed! Check it out; it's a terrific place and they have a really good happy hour. more

Indish is a beautiful restaurant in NW Portland near 21st & Everett. It has a full bar, a happy hour and delicious food. Owner is happily eccentric. Staff is attentive. Parking is a bit of a challenge because it's NW Portland, but so what. Lots of plates of food, Indian style, but not waht I was used to. Owner explained it's more like home-style Indian cooking. I've been there a few times and always enjoyed the food and the cocktails. Wine and beer are good, too, but sometimes I just want a DRINK drink. And there is always REALLY nice music playing, not too loud, just perfect. Enjoy! more

Very Eligent, sophisticated ambience with delicious and mouth watering food. My family loved the place! Its Indian food with an American touch. Small Portions and artistically presented. We loved the concept. The waitress was not pushy, she was well spoken. Music was pleasant and it was altogther a different experience. And trust me it was not expensive at all. Totally worth every buck! more
