I always have my pedicure done by Chau. She is a fantastic person and technician. I always enjoy my time with her at inSpa!

Worst

Inspa is not the place to go if you are really looking for pampering. It has kind of an assembly line feel. The prices are very reasonable and the no tipping policy is great for...

First time to be here 8/4/2013

Diane had the perfect combination of technical knowledge and relaxation skills. I have had many facials at other spas and she was the best! This was my first time at this spa. more

Some helpful suggestions 7/26/2013

The chairs could be more comfortable. A little recline would be nice - but this is a friendly suggestion. Overall, the service was fast and very professional. more

Great price, ok service 5/1/2009

I love the no tipping policy at InSpa since I'm on a budget. And for the most part, I think they do a good job with the services I've received (pedicures/waxing). You have to be specific when you get waxed about what you want and sometimes, for bikini waxes, they are stingy on how much they'll wax. But this is not a high end spa, so I guess that's to be expected. My biggest pet peeve is that they are rarely on time. I usually have to wait at least 5 minutes for my appointment...which may not seem like a lot, but it's more of a principal thing. more

Good for basics - don't expect luxury and you won't be disappointed 12/17/2007

I have been an InSpa customer for about six years. Most of the services I've received (waxing and pedicures) have been just fine. In the last year or so however, I have noticed a markable "stingyness" in the willingness to do anything "extra." For example, on a basic bikini wax, you get just that, even if there are a few stray hairs, if you know what I mean. The only truly bad experience I had was at the Mill Creek location in which I arrived for a massage and was told they couldn't do it because I was finishing up antibiotics. Noone EVER asked me about this when I made my appointment. I had a wax appointment that was supposed to follow my massage, and when I said I didn't want to wait around for the appointment, the massage therapist announced, in the lobby full of people, to the receptionist that I wouldn't be keeping my appointment because I was on antibiotics. Not cool. I will say that I complained to the manager and was compensated fairly for the inconvenience and embarrasment. If you are on a budget, this place is a great deal because you aren't allowed to tip and their fees are a bit lower than other spas. My advice is cliche - you get what you pay for. If you don't want to pay for frills, don't expect them. more

InSpa, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways... 10/31/2006

With a five-year twice-monthly mani/pedi habit, I consider myself a bit of a mani/pedi connoisseur. From the $90 pedicure at the NYC Four Seasons, to cheap-o corner shops, let’s just say that my digits have been around and for my $, InSpa blows away the competition. Here’s why: 1. Consistency – No matter who I see, the service is always top notch. 2. No gimmicks – To me, paying an extra $40 to soak my feet in hot chocolate (a spa in NYC actually offers this) or to have floating rose petals in my pedi water isn’t luxurious, it’s just plain silly. 3. Cleanliness – I’ve been to fancy (& expensive) spas and been skived out by their equipment. InSpa uses hospital-grade autoclaves to sanitize their mani/pedi implements. I don’t know one other spa that does this. 4. NO TIPPING!! – The price on the menu is the price you pay. Brilliant! My days of experimenting with other places are over. I’m strictly an InSpa girl now. more

In Spa.....not worth it 5/1/2006

I have been to the U-Village Inspa on a number of occasions and have not been impressed in the least by their services. Best case scenario: you are hustled through your service with very little interaction form your practitioner who is friendly but cool. Worst case scenario: the practitioner is rude, late and cuts your service short, or complains the whole time about how it sucks to work at Inspa (yes this happened to me!). I do not care if they are less expensive, the services definitely reflect that and are disappointing at best. more

  • In Short
The atmosphere lacks the sometimes snobbish attitude at more sophisticated spas--which is nice. But it gains a retail feel as part of University Village. Bottles and jars of InSpa products for man, woman and child fill the shelves in the light-filled foyer. The spa offers massage, facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures. If you want a pedicure, book far in advance, especially in the summer.
