Nice suprise 12/5/2011

Although I had a little trouble finding the restaurant, I am so glad we had our birthday lunch here. We arrived at 11:00am and were seated right away. The decor was rich woods and deep colors - very warm and inviting. The two person ""mini-booth"" was suprisingly spacious. I was very comfortable. The temp of the restaurant was a little cold, so ask to be seated away from the windows and walk-way. Trust me, you will be more comfortable. We started with the spinach dip. It is served warm with a side of spicy salsa and sour cream. The chips are thin and crisp and are not overly salted. We both really enjoyed this appetizer and would recommend. My friend then had the clam chowder. It was good, but nothing amazing. Although, I am not sure how clam chowder could be amazing.... Then we had their chicken sandwich. ( I am not sure what exactly it is called - can't remember). The chicken was moist and plump with a wonderful barbecue sauce. The ham was perfectly porportioned to the chicken and cheese. It comes with a thick tomato and arugula. I had them leave this off of my sandwich. The bun was AMAZING. It was soft and buttery with a nice light texture. The sandwich comes with a choice of sides, but we both got fries. These were not ordinary fries - they were a little thicker than shoestring cut and fried to this wonderful golden color. They were seasoned perfectly. I usually don't eat many fries, but I ate every single one on my plate. Coffee finished the meal. It is brewed one cup at a time and the aroma is amazing. Allow extra time for the brewing process. There was no room for dessert, but the choices looked great. Four days later and I can't wait to find an excuse to return. It is a little pricey for lunch, as we spent $60 for the two of us. However, I don't regret spending one penny of it. Best meal and experience I have had in five years. more

Consistent, but overcrowded. 7/4/2011

I've eaten at many Houston's locations, and this one is my favorite. Their food and service is great, but I frequently find myself eating dinner VERY early to avoid the crowds and noise that swallow the bar almost every night of the week. more

AJ is the best! 5/11/2011

Whenever it is Girls Night we always head to Houston's! AJ is the best bartender there is! Her drinks are always so perfect and yummy! I tell everyone I know to go to Houston's and especially to get a French Martini from AJ! Keep up the good work! more

Questionable Service 8/1/2008

We were once regulars here, but gotta say the last few visits have left something to be desired with regard to the service. Inattentive wait staff that frequently huddles in the asiles and the back having their own little conversations while customers require attention. We also observed some questionable playful behavior by a 2-3 obviously gay males and overheard a conversation by them that was definitely not ""dinner conversation."" When we asked for the manager upon leaving, we waited at the front door for what seemed like 5 mins or more and no one ever came up there. Service gets 1 star and food a generous 3. We're going to wait awhile before going back or try the other location. more

Great food, atmosphere AND service! 1/12/2008

One of my favorite treats is going to eat at Houstons I've only dined at the Addison location about 5 or 6 times. I have been impressed everytime. The Hawian Ribeye is hands down the tastiest dish. The meat is always tender and melts in your mouth and they let you sub the sides at no additional costs or hassle. The last waiter referred to me as ""the lady"" i love that! I had a pomegranite martini, excellent! When i was halfway finished he brought me a new frosted martini glass and poured the rest into it. I am consitently impressed with this establishment and will always return. I also recomend it to anyone who loves great food and classy surroundings! Pros: Food and service a well versed waitstaff Cons: no reservation policy, you will have a wait on weekends more
