Although I had a little trouble finding the restaurant, I am so glad we had our birthday lunch here. We arrived at 11:00am and were seated right away. The decor was rich woods and deep colors - very warm and inviting. The two person ""mini-booth"" was suprisingly spacious. I was very comfortable. The temp of the restaurant was a little cold, so ask to be seated away from the windows and walk-way. Trust me, you will be more comfortable. We started with the spinach dip. It is served warm with a side of spicy salsa and sour cream. The chips are thin and crisp and are not overly salted. We both really enjoyed this appetizer and would recommend. My friend then had the clam chowder. It was good, but nothing amazing. Although, I am not sure how clam chowder could be amazing.... Then we had their chicken sandwich. ( I am not sure what exactly it is called - can't remember). The chicken was moist and plump with a wonderful barbecue sauce. The ham was perfectly porportioned to the chicken and cheese. It comes with a thick tomato and arugula. I had them leave this off of my sandwich. The bun was AMAZING. It was soft and buttery with a nice light texture. The sandwich comes with a choice of sides, but we both got fries. These were not ordinary fries - they were a little thicker than shoestring cut and fried to this wonderful golden color. They were seasoned perfectly. I usually don't eat many fries, but I ate every single one on my plate. Coffee finished the meal. It is brewed one cup at a time and the aroma is amazing. Allow extra time for the brewing process. There was no room for dessert, but the choices looked great. Four days later and I can't wait to find an excuse to return. It is a little pricey for lunch, as we spent $60 for the two of us. However, I don't regret spending one penny of it. Best meal and experience I have had in five years.
